I purchased a furniture set late January in cash, and the bedroom set was delivered today. Upon delivery, a night stand was broken. I refused this item per the delivery man's recommendation, and was told I would get the replacement, probably, in a few days. When I talked to the customer service representative, she said that someone would confirm a delivery date within 72 hours, but it will probably be late May when I would get the new night stand. Three additional months!
In addition to the broken night stand, I examined my furniture and found a scratch on the dresser, a broken dresser drawer, and splintered wood on the chest. I called the customer service phone number, and waited on hold for 10 mins. I was informed their computer systems were down, and that I needed to call back in 20 mins. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They took my name and number, and I have yet to hear back. I have called back several times, and spent hours trying to resolve this issue. Finally, while on hold to speak to a manager, they hung up on me, and now the customer service call center is closed.
I called the corporate customer service line, and I was told I needed to speak directly with the local store. Once again, no help was given.
I was really excited to receive my new furniture set, and I have been extremely disappointed not only with the condition in which I received the product, but also with the lack of customer service I have been given.
Ashley Furniture was more than happy to take my money, however they have not been able to provide me the product that I was promised at purchase. Last purchase I will ever make with Ashley Furniture. Buyer beware!!!!
