signed up with ASG because my neighbor said that they had a good price. Little did I know, my neighbor was getting free monitoring for having me sign up. So, they did a fair job at the beginning, but this last year they never called when the alarm went off. So I would consider that poor service since one break-in is all it takes for a real problem.
Now here comes the bad part, when you sign a 3 year contract with ASG, which is legitimate because they need to pay off the equipment, they have a clause that states that they re-up the contract for 2 years without notification if you do not cancel the contract outside of thirty days of your original contract end date. Then they try to charge you $500 if you want to get out that 2 year ""contract"" that they slip by you. Then they try to make it a settlement amount of $300. This would never pass in the cell phone industry let alone most regular businesses.
I don't know why this is legal in the state of Texas, but I will not pay this and may take it to court if there is a way.
Pros: OK for first two years
Cons: TERRIBLE CONTRACTS
