I cant believe Im writing this review (the weekend crowds are already growing at this restaurant, and Id hate for it to get any busier!), but I feel like I owe it to the owners of Asakusa. This is simply my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne. Location is non-descript (strip mall). Although the interior is small, wooden partitions divide most of the tables (giving you a bit of privacy). Decor is simple, but classy. Ambience is very relaxing (low lights, not too loud). Service at Askausa is fabulous; the wait staff is very sweet and friendly. And the food? Well, thats the best part. I cant speak to the actual meals, b/se I only ever ordered sushi. But I can say this: heir rolls are the best in FW (actually, the best Ive ever had!); they are creative but not overwhelming. As long as you spend $10 on sushi, you get a free soup (clear soup with bits of tempura and mushrooms is great) and salad (I love the ginger dressing).
