If you are looking for a smelly, dirty salon with a rude and incompetent owner/stylist to waste your time and money then this is the place for you. If not, ignore this place and check out other salons with better reviews on Yelp!
2 days before my appointment, I called the salon to find out a few questions. The receptionist told me it was an extra charge of $10 for longer hair. That’s normal because I called a few other salons that had a similar groupon promotion and they all charged the same amount. She then proceeded to tell me NOT to buy the groupon online and instead she would honor the same amount at the salon. This sounded skeptical to me so I agreed but I still purchased the groupon just to be safe.
At the salon, after my shampoo, Armin, the owner and my stylist proceeded to rip, yes, RIP my hair as he combed through it. Any qualified stylist knows to comb a tangled hair you start from the bottom and work your way to the top to minimize breakage. He started from the top, with his fine tooth comb, and pulled/ripped my hair. I complained and he apologized but continued do to it. He was constantly on his cellphone or taking to other people the whole time and not paying attention to my hair.
After he combed my hair dry, it took him 5 minutes to apply the keratin on my hair. I’m experienced at keratin treatment as I've had it done many, many times before, so I know the technique. It takes 45 min minimum to apply keratin, not 5 minutes.
The keratin he applied was a runny, drippy super wet mixture, meaning he had watered it down because I was only paying $99 instead of $300+ for this treatment. They should advise groupon clients that instead of getting the full keratin treatment, which I was under the impression I was going to receive, he was only going to half-ass it and use a runny mixture on only 1/3 of my hair. UGH!
