I recently went to this agency looking for a front desk job, which Arlene told me she had many of on the phone. After PAYING a $50 Registration Fee (which I've since read is illegal in NY), and $150, so I would not have to pay anything from my salary when I got a job, she sent me on several interviews, for various positions. Like cashier, hostess etc. which I did not wan at all, and did not fit my schedule. I said I did not want them, and she replied that I should go on the interview and take the job, while she would still be looking for another job which suited my needs. I, thinking people are inherently good, accepted a job, but decided it was not for me, and left. After this I was told that since I had taken the job, she has already fulfilled her part of our deal, and on top of that I owe her money because I would have made a salary of $300 that week had I stayed, and she is supposed to get one week's wages from me.\r
This woman is a sly, conniving b****, who preys on the weak, and vulnerable. Especially people who are undocumented in this country, who are a great number of her clients, like me, who are just trying to take care of their families without going to crime. She promises to find illegal immigrants work, takes their money, and never delivers. Her ""clients"" cannot fight her because they are not supposed to be here in the first place.
Pros: if you want to waste your money, this is a great place
Cons: never delivers promised service
