They are more apt to discharge your loans than work with you now days. They must get a commision for the charge offs.

Arizona Federal Credit Union management are arrogant, dishonest, and acting more like a bank than a regular bank with their new in 2013 required $3 monthly membership dues. They call this "mutually beneficially" when in reality it only benefits them. They have turned their backs on the community, especially the poor and underserved who are being kicked to the street with all the fees. This will cost every member $36 per year, and for all the members almost $6 MILLION DOLLARS! 4/2/2013

These are the greediest most uncaring bankers in the USA!!!! They already profited over $44 MILLION DOLLARS IN 2012, one of the most profitable in the USA, and trying to gouge the members even more. Then they tout the $3 million loyalty reward they gave back. Lets see, $44 million profit, $6 million more in fees will boost the profits to over $50 MILLION, and they try to say they are doing you a favor by giving $3 million back as a loyalty reward. This is outrageously dishonest. If you have a credit card through AZFCU and want to keep it, you MUST have a saving account or checking account in order to keep it. So now I have to lose a credit card and my good credit score because they can't come up with a better idea to make millions from it's users. http://arizonafederalcreditunionmembers.wordpress.com more

AZFCU - My experience 10/12/2010

Let's see if this review gets posted. AZFCU is a great credit union as long as you are not experiencing any financial difficulties, THEN they drop you like a hot potatoe under the guise of "protecting their members". Meaning members who are not experiencing any financial issues. I banked here for 14 years, and the minute I discussed my financial issues with them, they terminated my "membership" and account. This after paying off countless loans and mortgages... more

GREAT BANK!! 7/7/2005

WE've been using this bank for about a year and their service is absolutely unbeatable. They are VERY friendly and always willing to assist us no matter what our request. They are local and easy to get a hold of and have helped us with 2 different loans. We got a great rate on both loans and they made the process easy and painless. We will never use a national bank again!! more

  • Arizona Federal Credit Union is different than your typical bank. That's because we're not a bank at all! We're a member-owned financial cooperative based right here in Arizona, and we exist to serve the best interests of our members, not outside stockholders. With the power of 140,000+ members, we're able to offer low-cost accounts and services for consumers and small business, leading-edge mobile apps, competitive rates on loans and deposits, and nationwide ATM and branch access. At Arizona Federal you get the convenience of a big national bank with the benefits of banking local.
