Although a new addition to the neighborhood, Massimo and his aspirations are anything but. Ideas have been in the making since his early days as the bread boy at the late Scalinatella restaurant; ironically at the same locale that this venture begins today. To further add to the synchronicity, Massimo?s baptism reception was also held in the same spot some 30 years ago at the old ?il sole? restaurant. And just to lock in the sentimental value of its already rich history, Massimo?s new restaurant is named after his beautiful baby daughter, Aria Rose.

Staying close to his roots, Massimo also worked two doors down as the general manager at Tresca for seven years. There he attained valuable knowledge and experience about the industry and the neighborhood. He is grateful for the Tresca team and will always remember the opportunity he was given to manage one of the North Ends finest establishments. Well known and well liked by locals and the Boston community, he has undoubtedly proven himself as a professional and as a friend.


His enthusiasm for the industry dates back to his own childhood. As a young boy he watched as his mother cooked Italian feasts for family and friends; pulling at her apron strings just to have a taste of the freshness that lingered above him. There was always ?just enough? thanks to his father who never stopped working to ensure his family was well provided for. Thus, with a strong work ethic instilled from a young age and his love of family food and culture, Massimo is more than ready to share his passions with the world.


In his much anticipated debut, Aria will combine old world Italian with a modern twist, making sure to appeal to many audiences. As many will attest, Massimo?s palette is anything but mundane. Having sampled some of the world?s best restaurants and venues, he will be sure to provide his clients with a variety of tastes, smells and visually appealing creations.
