Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar

We visited this location Sunday, 20 May 2012 during lunch time. It was not crowded. The food was prepared to our liking. The service was ok. I say ok because the waitress took far too long to bring our check we had to ask the hostess to go get her. She came immediately. Then we both made a visit to the restrooms. Both my husband and I wanted to throw up the food. The restrooms are a biological hazard. They are just filthy and if you really pay attention you can smell them from the dining area. They just need to clean up the entire building and start fresh. Needless to say we paid the bill, left a tip and left there in a hurry vowing not to return to that location again. I was personally praying we did not get sick. This was our experience. It use to be much better but has since gone down. We considered speaking with the manager but decided from the looks of things our input would not matter. We'll just go to the one on Two Notch Road near Wal-Mart in the Spring Valley area or the one on Broad River Road not far from I-20. Their restrooms are much cleaner and the waitresses are much more attentive. more

I was witness to one worker hitting another worker on the hand with a pan. She was mad at a manager. I have seen this type of behavior at their other restaurants and won't return. Serve me and keep your anger issues out of the grill. more

On Friday 5-21-10 at lunch time, my friend...Lorraine and I met at the O'neil Ct. location of Applebee's. The waitress and management were nice while serving us. We split an appetizer which consisted of Spinach/artichoke dip, cheese sticks, buffalo bites, quesadillas and had a small side shrimp/spinach salad with a balsamic dressing. On my way back to work, I became extremely ill and experienced the following conditions: Lightheaded, chest discomfort, diarrhea, sweating, dizziness and nausea. I was then rushed to the ER. I later learned that my friend Lorraine also became ill. My husband went to Applebee's that same evening to speak with the General Manager and to show him the left over food I had not yet eaten. My husband was told the General Manager was not at the restaurant but would be informed about the situation and would contact me on Monday. Today is Tuesday and I have not heard from the General Manager. more

When we are in other towns for business or pleasure we love to stop by Applebee's. However, the Applebee's on Two Notch Rd. in NE Columbia has the absolute worst service. The staff is not attentive at all and the food doesn't taste freshly-prepared. If this Applebee's were the only one I had ever frequented I wouldn't want to try another. more
