Apple Music Co Inc

I went in to try an amp which at first they wouldn't even allow. I had to chase staff down to even get noticed. Prior to that I stood there basically wholly ignored. Staff is weak on knowledge and incredibly rude. Skip these guys they obviously have too much business to bother with being polite, courteous or knowledgeable. Portland has far too many good music stores ever waste here. more

The selection of instruments is very good from lower priced to higher end. The customer service is sometimes lacking so it is good to have and idea of what you are looking for or bring a polished musician along to help you. They have three stores on the same street, one has acoustic instruments, one is drums and percussion and one is the electric instruments, so there is a lot to look at. more

I love going downtown to Apple Music every now and then. They have amazing vintage guitars that I've never seen before, even though they're pretty expensive. They also have guitars I can't find at places such as Guitar Center or Portland Music. Also unlike Guitar Center, the employees are knowedgeable and friendly. Something that seemed a little odd though,w as on some guitars, they were charging more than what they were at other stores. Like this one Dean guitar you can get for $200 at Portland Music, Apple Music sells it for $280. But besides minor things like that, they have an excellent selection of guitars and amps, and it's always fun just to go in and try stuff out. It's great to have such an awesome music store here in Portland! more

These guys own about 4 buildings on the front of a block in downtown Portland, and each one is a different leg of their music store. One just for electric guitars, one for acoustic, one for sound equipment, one for drums, you get the idea. It's a very sweet establishment with a friendly staff and TONS of vintage instraments that have been played by famous people! Check it out if you're in Portland! more
