Mixed Thoughts Here 11/15/2008

Great place, but avoid the woman who works here that has black hair, she acts like she owns the place, and degrades everyone. The staff seems afraid to breathe around her, and keep their faces astutely pinned to the ground, as if at any moment this witch of a woman, is going to explode at the slightest breathing from anyone, and send someone straight to hell. This woman is probably just one of those hate-filled, and extremely judgmental people who absolutely thrives on going out of their way to try and make others feel bad. She get points with the devil for everyone in her ridiculous holier-than-NOT path that she hurts. Everyone else there absolutely wonderful and so is the selection of wines. AVOID THE WITCH AT ALL COSTS!!!! SHE WILL GO OUT OF HER WAY, AND TRY SOME SHIFTY WAY, TO TRY AND HURT YOU - LIKE I SAID SHE MUST BE GETTING POINTS WITH THE DEVIL, SO AVOID HER COMPLETELY AND RUN IF YOU SEE HER. A tip for the owner here, get rid of the crazy witch that thinks she's god. She has chased away plenty of my friends, and surely others. Do the right thing and at least keep her, in her cage in back, if there is anything that she can offer, it will surely be something that involves not having any contact with people. Maybe she can dust and push stock at night or something, when the shop is closed, this way she won't be able to hurt anyone, but keep blinds on the windows, because she'll scare the hell out of any passers by with her bad vibes and wicked ways of pure evil that she spues out on a daily basis. Save the shop and get rid of the witch, she will only cause destruction in the lives of all customers. Maybe the witch could take up drawing and take out her demons on a canvas, where she wouldn't be hurting anyone. Collectors are certain to pick up her work, as it will be most certainly dark, and extremely scary. So there's my tip for the demon woman, take up art it's your new calling, and stop being such an ugly monster. Pros: EVERYTHING -except the monster Cons: The scary witch -halloween is over- get rid of her more

Great wine store Great service 11/14/2008

The store is VERY user friendly, and staff is always willing to walk around the store together with you and help you pick wines. No one makes you feel silly if you don't know exactly what you want, and they never up-sell you. Also, their tastings are great, and there's no presssure to buy. more

one of a kind 12/4/2005

It is always a pleasant visit to Appellation, what with Scott and his team being very friendly, as well as generous (but never pushy) with their enthusisam and knowledge. All wines are clearly labelled with their provenance and very competitively priced (from about less than ten to several hundred dollars). The store specializes in organic, sustainable and biodynamic wines, all specially selected for high quality. Oh, and Appellation has tastings, and is dog friendly. more
