I don't recommend doing buisness with this company unless you want to be mislead and have all your problems deflected.Phil the owner is a very ccondescending buisness man. One of those who can do no wrong thus your the one who must be mistaken.Remember this is a college town and swarms of young people are less likely to contest issues granting this company a substantial amout of consistently flowing buisnes. If you want to be treated like an adult then search elswhere. Oh, and make sure you valuables are safe if they send maintenance to your unit. more

If you are Landlord looking for a reliable and honest company to manage your property then APEX is the one you want to use. We've been with APEX over 6 years and they have been excellent and we highly recommend them. The negative comments posted must be from the tenants that obviously were not good tenants and tried to get away with stuff...but Phil enforced the rules so therefore they weren't happy and posted bad comments. But I have personally worked with Phil and the staff at APEX and found them to be wonderful and friendly!! Signed...a happy Landlord. more

All the good reviews you see are generic and fake if you look on every website the good reviews are the same, Everyone the deals with this company getting treated bad and no one seems to care, im telling you as someone who has had so many problems with them please don't rent from them they are horrible and the management doesn't care at all how bad you get treated. more

They really offer a great selection of clean and well taken care of homes. I shopped around and looked at quite a few places and it seemed like Apex had the best looking places to choose from. more

fied the problem 11/16/2011

We had put some beans down our drain and figured it could handle it. The drain started running slow and we had to have maintenance come out. It turned out there was a spoon dropped in the drain from a previous tenant. It resulted in an annoying sink that got so bad we had to finally call maintenance. Had we called when we first noticed a problem instead of months later we probably wouldnt have been charged. more

Venting 11/1/2011

Our disposal and sink have always operated very poorly. Finally we had to call to have it serviced by maintenance. We were half way into our lease and feel that it is unfair we were charged a $35.00 maintenance charge, since this has been a problem since we moved in. more

FAKE REVIEWS! 9/16/2011

When looking at reviews, be sure to look at the other reviews they have left. Its funny that most of the 5 star reviews come from ""people"" that are leaving reviews for all the same companies. What are the odds of that? Not likely! Apex is a horrible company and they know it. They are sneaky enough that they would make fake reviews to boost the real reviews that show how horrible they are! Phil is the downright nastiest person there, a true salesman that will tell you what you want to hear but never intends on doing anything for you. BEWARE!!! more

Excellent Service 9/13/2011

I have been with Apex for three years and have had excellent service and great experiences throughout. In person, the people are upbeat, helpful, and provide a positive atmosphere to do business in. We had some issues with our heat and our pipes during the winter but the staff was very helpful and worked hard to get us taken care of before we had to leave for break. This was during a busy time for that type of maintenance. It is obvious that the staff at Apex put in a lot of effort to ensure their tenants have a positive experience, especially when issues arise. I pay my rent on time each month, and only call when necessary, in return they give great service. more

My daughter and I were looking at and scheduled appointments to see 4 different properties on campus. The leasing agent was very nice and I was grateful for all the time they took to answer my questions.We ended up renting from these folks and put in the application the same day. more

When I went to Apex looking for a new place they were very helpful. They showed me pictures and info on each property available and even went over the lease with me in person. I definitely recommend them. more

I have had a great experience with this company. I currently rent from them and they have always taken care of any issues I have. When I downsize next year I will definitely move into another Apex property. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. They are a great group of people. more

Worst company I've ever dealt with 10/20/2010

Do not do business with Apex. They are by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Unhelpful staff, enormous fees, and good luck ever seeing your deposit again. They were the worst renting experience I've ever had. Whatever you do avoid Apex at all costs. PS: Phil isn't just a property manager. That is the company president. more

Unkind property Manager 6/30/2009

One night I came home from work and had ten minutes to change and get to class. Well one of my neighbors was in my spot and I had to circle the block to find somewhere to park. I called Apex and left a message asking them to ask that person to stick to their own space. The head property manager (I think it was Sil, could have been Phil...) Left a message on my phone the next morning. He called me rude 3 times, said I didn't care about other people, and that ""everyone at Apex can't wait until I move out and go live someplace else"". What he doesn't know is that I already signed a new lease for a different Apex building ( and everyone ELSE has always been really nice and friendly, and very helpful). I really hope this guy leaves me alone. Who needs to be treated like that? In the past, they have also rewired my bathroom without telling me, leaving a mess and moving my belongings. When I called about that, the same mean guy told me there was nothing I can do, and didn't not even pretend to care. They should fire him, the company would be better off. Pros: nice buildings Cons: very unkind property manager more

Apex property management 4/25/2008

I sublet a property managed by APEX from Dec 2005 - May 2006. After I left I still received phone calls about ""my"" animals or maintenance on ""my"" residence. After a year of these calls, after each one I called APEX back telling them to stop calling me I don't live there, I went into the office. apparently, that is the only way they can begin to listen to you. I found out that they had re-signed my name to the new lease without my knowing, not the person who took over my room! How can that even happen without me there? I signed my name that I had moved out when I turned in my keys, and yet my name magically appeared on the new lease, therefore making me responsible for all the problems. They promised to fix it, blah blah blah, apex couldn't keep a promise if they knew how. Yesterday, 2 YEARS LATER, I received another call about ""my"" cat scratching other people's screen doors and ""I"" need to do something about it. conveniently everybody is out of the office when I call to get it taken care of, and the useless secretary is always extremely rude. I don't even live in Bellingham anymore, let alone their dump of a property! BEWARE! Pros: If the townhouse I lived in was 20 years newer it would have been nice. Or if it wasn't in the scary area of Northwest with meth-head neighbors. Cons: Everything about this company screams a con. more
