I would recommend them. Had an emergency over memorial day weekend. The place is different to get to, but once inside it clean, the people are professional and they did not price gouge me. ThankYou AEC 610 more

TERRIBLE!!!! 9/19/2011

I took my dog to the Houston's Animal Clinic this weekend in a panicked frenzy because his paw was bleeding. It turned out that his nail was broken and had to be removed. The vet said that it would be a quick procedure. They took him to the back. Came out 15 minutes later with his paw bandaged. The following day my dog was limping around all day and wouldn't eat, you could tell he was hurting. His regular vet opened today so we took him in for a follow up. It turns out that his nail is still there and that is why he has been in so much pain. I've called, sent e-mails, and have yet to receive a response. This is the worse service I could ever imagine. I trusted them to take care of my dog in an emergency situation, but instead they charged me $300 for nothing. Do not take your pet here. It is over priced and they clearly do not do a good job. more

Great doctors & staff 6/1/2011

I found the staff to be nothing but professional, curteous, and caring. I took my very sick cat there over the holiday weekend and they did everything in their power to help him. I was given alternatives for care based on type of care i wanted my animal to receive and what i could afford. I will go back if my animals need after hours care without hesitation. I highly recommend this clinic. more

NEVER GO THERE!! 5/6/2011

We took our mini poodle to them because he couldn't eliminate. It turned out to most likely be bladder cancer, so we chose to euthanize him. At first, they seemed very competent and he even got to go to sleep in my arms. They said they would hold him for us until we could bury him. Ultimately this was for a full month. We discovered last night they LOST him. There was a white cat in a bag marked apricot mini poodle. I would never, ever go there again. more

My Baby is gone due to this Money hungry Clinic 10/23/2010

I would never EVER take a Pet there again!! I took my dog and they said she had abdominal pain and it would be $600 for the services (estimate), I couldn't afford it and so they did Subcutaneous fluids and some antibiotics. I payed $300 for that. They said she would be fine in the morning. I trusted them!!! My dog was dead in the morning. She'd practically bleed to death. Why didn't they tell me that she was very ill? I would have pawned what ever I had to make the bill. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! more

horrible 5/12/2010

the techs don't know what they're doing and they're misinformed. Cons: EVERYTHING more

I took my 6 week old puppy to this animal clinic... and first off... they make you pay a $95 office visit fee. I was giving details of why puppy was sick and asking so many questions... they didn't answer any of them! They weighed my pup and then took his temperature... and then they were quick to give me the $395 estimate to do blood work! My dog did not need blood work. I told them "no" and they showed me the door. How F--in rude to make people pay about $100 and you give no answers to any concerns or questions... geez. My puppy ended up being completely fine, but they would have gotten a mouthful from me if he had not been. Pros: none Cons: expensive, doesn't care about animals, not helpful answers more

If you want a dead pet 8/2/2009

This clinic is incompetent. They should not be in business. We trusted them to treat our lovely dog and their incompetence killed her. She died horribly because of this clinic. They only care about the money not the animals they claim to treat. If you care about your pet please go to another clinic. more

If you want to pay alot for a dead pet 8/1/2009

The vets here are not concerned at all with the health and welfare of the pets they claim to treat. Our beloved young dog died as a result of their incompetence. Our hearts are broken and it is because we trusted this clinic. If you care for your pets go to another emergency clinic. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a dead pet. Pros: none Cons: Incompetent vets, expensive fees more

Simply the Best 5/10/2009

Today, we had to rush my sister's puppy there for labored breathing. Unfortunately, the only choice we had was to put her to sleep. However, the staff and vet were supremely professional. They took a full evaluation of her before making any suggestions and were clear and up front about the cost. Everyone was sympathetic to our situation (she'd only had her for about three weeks) and did their best to reassure us and make the puppy as comfortable as possible during her transition. I would definitely take my pets here. more

Not recommended at any cost 1/11/2009

In January 2009, I took my aging dog who had symptoms of heart failure - three fainting spells, cyanotic gums - into this emergency clinic. After she sat in the back for three hours, alone, in a cage, I found that they had not triaged her - even after she collapsed in the arms of one of the receptionists. She had no treatment, no oxygen, no nothing. Pros: Not a single thing Cons: My dog in heart failure was not even triaged more

never again 11/27/2007

My Kelpie mix Helga had a cut on the edge of the pad on her back left paw that was bleeding and since I wasn't sure if anything was broken we raced to the clinic to get it checked out. We arrived and sat waiting for nearly 45minutes. The tech was very nice and gentle when taking Helga's vitals. So far so good. Then the doctor came in and took Helga to another area in order to assess the wound. He came back with a list describing treatment they would do and an estimate of $196.00. Pricey, yes but I thought it would be considering it was an emergency clinic on a Sunday afternoon and signed my agreement for treatment. About 10 minutes later another vet tech brought Helga back to me and handed me the end of her leash. I looked down and she's bleeding from her paw on the floor! They have cleaned the wound and put nothing on it, not even a cotton ball. A couple of minutes later the same vet tech returns and says the doctor will be right w/me for discharge & I point out she's still bleeding. He takes Helga back again and brings her back out w/ a splint bandage on & tells us we can pay up front. But now the bill is $298.00!! I asked how much the bandage costs...$60.00!!!And another $40.00 wound treatment charge since she walked thru the door twice? The next day the vet in charge of the clinic agreed to refund me the 2nd $40.00 charge and I thank them for that however, I will never return to this clinic. There was no reason to charge me the 2nd wound treatment charge in the first place.Additionally, the vet treating Helga when he brought the agreement for treatment form said "This is so I can treat that little cut" as if I was wasting his time by making sure it was ONLY a cut and nothing more. I would not recommend this type of treatment to anyone who did not have a choice of going elsewhere. Pros: open on weekends Cons: poor service, high prices more
