Dr Jordan is a great vet. I know he will take good care of Max!

All reviews seem positive

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/4/2013

We brought my daughter's bird, Ruby, to see Dr Jordan because she had developed a feather pulling problem. Dr Jordan recommended some routine tests to determine if the problem was physiological. While he was drawing blood Ruby basically bled out and died right there. At this point I still don't know if she had a problem which prevented the bleeding from stopping or if it was something the doctor did wrong (he was doing the draw from the jugular even though the educational pamphlet he provided us stated that they got the blood by clipping a claw). All I know is that Ruby was a huge part of my daughter's life (they were literally inseparable) so I was trying to do the right thing and now she is gone. I understand that there are risks involved with anything and I am still trying to rationalize where it went wrong. Should we have signed off on his recommended ""routine"" diagnostic steps? Should we have brought her to a different vet instead? Should we have waited a little bit longer to see if she would outgrow the feather plucking? Am I right by blaming myself? If I had decided differently somewhere along the way my daughter would still have her pride and joy to share every waking moment with her. If one good thing can come of this I hope it will be that somebody else will read this review and understand the risk before doing anything ""routine"". more

Bunny well taken care of :) 11/23/2010

I took my bunny in about a week ago because she was sick and not eating or drinking anything. The whole staff in this hospital is very friendly and nice. The doctor was very knowledgeable and knew how to treat my bunny, because now she is all better :) The technician took the time to show my husband and I how to give our bunny her medications, and he was very patient and kind. Our bunny had to stay hospitalized for a couple of days and they even allowed us to board our other bunny for free to keep our sick bunny company in the hospital. To our surprise, they even gave our bunny a complimentary nail trim (free of charge!) They are truly caring and helpful. If my bunnies get sick again, I am definately taking them to this hospital with confidence that they will be very well taken care of :) more

Best interior design! 10/10/2007

After reading the amazing reviews, I expected impeccable service, but I found Dr Dan to be quite standoffish when he examined our cat. He was very quiet and didn't make eye contact with me when he said hello. He didn't make any conversation but I made allowances for that because he gets paid to examine animals, not make idle chatter with people! Still, a little more friendliness would have been appreciated. His examination was very good though, and the assistants were very friendly and efficient. The cost of the visit was a lot cheaper than I expected. Loved the quirky animal-themed decor in a bungalow - eclectic and a reminder that this is an independent practice. more

BEST VET IN TOWN 1/23/2007

Dr. Jordan is by far the most compassionate and generous vet I have ever been to. My dwarf hamster recently had to have a cancerous tumor removed and Dr. Jordan and his staff were incredibly sensitive to both of our needs. He cares for all kinds of pets, exotics included. I would never take my animals anywhere else, and trust me, I have plenty of them. I have recommended the Animal Avian Hospital to all of my friends and they have had great experiences there as well. You can't go wrong here. Pros: Compassionate care, warm and friendly staff, expert animal knowledge more

Dr. Jordan is the Only Veterinarian I would have for my companions 11/1/2006

If you want your furry and or feathered friends to get the best and most comprehensive care, then Dr Dan Jordan is your guy. I have been his client for a decade now for good reason. He has a great rapport and is very passionate about each and every animal he provides care for. The staff is equally inviting and caring. I consider them friends and have 100% confidence I will receive the best care when I walk through the door at Animal Avian. PROS: Compassion, availability, advanced technology, loves animals first CONS: more

Simply the best 5/1/2006

I have been very impressed with Animal Avian. Dr. Jordan is the best. This is the only place I trust to care for my parrot. Pros: ideal location, great care more

My pets get better health care than me here! 12/10/2005

Dr. Jordan and his staff are very nice and know thier stuff. Escecially when it comes to exotics. Without Dr. Jordan, my ferret would never have lived to be 6 years old and my other one would not be alive today. It can be pricey, but I know my friends have the very best care they can get. Dr. Jordan also has one of best "Bedside manners" I have seen in a Vet. PROS: Great Vet and Staff, all the latest technology CONS: Be ready to spend some money more

Very nice veteranarian and staff 11/18/2005

Very nice staff, professional and knowledgable. Dr. Jordan is extremely experienced and very good - up to date with the latest technology, of course, and willing to discuss things in detail. When my dog had a cyst he borught out the laptop with the slide of her cells on the screen, explaining everything to me. Hopefully you wont be at the vets often, but this is a good one. PROS: veternarian with outstanding credentials and experience CONS: can be pricey for basic stuff like travel certificates. more
