The food was ok, but when you get attitude or made to feel like your a second class citizen when youre the one paying the extraordinary bill makes you wonder. It bugged me a pick that when I asked for cherry peppers for a steak and had nerve to be charged for ONE PEPPER! Pros: Ellis St Location/Pretty Locale Cons: Expensive, RUDE SNOTTY WANNABES more

Horrible Service, Arrogant Staff 11/16/2008

I went to Angelina's (Ellis St. location) last night with my wife and another couple, and I will never return. We were treated very rudely. I had been to Angelina's once before a few months ago. The food was pretty good, although it was not worthy of the very high prices. This is Staten Island after all, not Manhattan. The beautiful decor and the live music made us want to try it one more time though. We made an 8:00 reservation, arrived on time, and were told that our table was not ready. While we waited, we saw numerous people leave, but we were still not shown to our table. Another couple walked in after us, and they were promptly seated at a table for 4. Not to mention that there were two other tables for 4 open the entire time we waited. We assumed they were being held for friends of the owner. We were generally ignored by the hostess the entire time we waited. At 8:30, we asked about our table, and were told that it would be a few more minutes. Let me remind you that we didn't just walk in. We had a reservation for 8:00. Why take reservations if you cannot honor them? Finally, at 8:45 we asked again about our table. The hostess responded that they can't control when people leave and offered us a bread basket. A bread basket. Not only had we been waiting 45 minutes for a table that we had reserved, but the best they could do to accommodate us was to offer something that was going to be placed on our table once we sat down anyway. I have never experienced such poor customer service. We left after receiving this highly insulting response and went to another restaurant. The hostess didn't seem to care either. Unless you know the owner, be prepared to overpay for your food while being served (or not served) by an arrogant staff. Pros: Ambience Cons: Overpriced food, rude staff, reservations mean nothing unless you know the owner. more

Horrible Service 1/14/2008

I felt Angelinas Restaurant was not worth the money nor the time that I travelled from Brooklyn. The service was terrible and not to mention the food. Pasta was soft as anything and the steak over cooked. how can you mess up a steak. I would of had a better meal for a 1/4 of the amount if i would have stayed home and made it myself more

Class, Taste & Fun... The finest italian.... 7/11/2006

Angelina's is not only a phenomenal eating journey, it's an evening out with fabulous live music, dancing, great drinks. It's just an all in all real happening place to be. Angelina's has remained consistent in its food, quality and presentation throughout all the 10 years that I have been going there. I never get tired of a great night at Angelina's. As of late, there have been improvements to the already devine menu. I had tempura artichoke hearts wrapped in proscuitto as an appetizer which was recommended by our waiter. At first I wasn't sure if it would be something I'd enjoy, but to my surprise, it was one of the best things that I have ever eaten. Also there was the filet mignon gorgeously presented with shrimp wrapped around it in a bundle sort of look, while the plate was drizzled with a sauce that just complimented the whole dish. This was something out of a magazine just to look at. But when I tasted it I was in awe of the different flavors married together to create an amazing delight in my mouth. The finest beef, it was like butter melting in my mouth. The shrimp were large, hearty & plentiful. I could go on and on. People claim it's expensive for Staten Island. Who cares??? It's not just an 1 1/2 hour meal, you spend hours there. You eat great and are entertained. Where are you gonna get all that for that price? No place else my friends.. Pros: Great service, great menu, great music. Beautifully decorated. Angelina is a sweetheart more

Once was the best 11/4/2003

There was a time when Angelina's had the best food and service on Staten Island. It was worth the trip from Manhattan. The food is still pretty good, but not worth the trip. Service is still perfect. more
