For some reason this place seems to have gotten quite a good reputation among my friends. I have found the food to be extremely average. O...

No, thanks! 7/27/2006

Just edible but you'd have to be nuts to eat at this joint in a city like San Francisco, for chrissake! The number of amazing Chinese restaurants within a 1 mile radius makes eating here by choice a SIN. Go anywhere but here if you want authentic Chinese food. more

this is the same restaurant as andy's chinese cuisine. 12/2/2005

why change your name to avoid a bad review andy? take out andy's food and leave it there! see his other reviews. more

Chinese food for those who think Chink is still an acceptable term 12/2/2005

This is Chinese food in the sterotypical grain for people who have never experienced real Chinese food. San Franciscans are a different breed! We know good food, and are a diverse community. Please don't insult us with your cold Chop Suey, your warm, diluted tea bag oolong, and your cliche' Sweet and Sour Pork with Color redder than a Jolly Rancher. I had a colleague tell me once that this is his favorite Chinese restaurant. I took him to another restaurant and he has never gone back to Andy's. Please... give other restaurants a try, and keep the sterotypes and cliche's to a minimum in your life. more

Andy's Chinese Cuisine 8/14/2005

Definitely a restaurant for non-Oriental. We ordered 5 courses. All came on medium to small dishes. Too pricey for the kind of portions we got. Before we left, we noticed next table, all Caucasians, each got a good-sized (double ours, at least)dish of sizeable portions. Aside from obvious favoritism, food was only so-so. Duck was way too salty, tea was lukewarm, veggies not fresh tasting, etc.,service is spotty. First and last time I would ever go there. more

Very good food and inexpensive 8/5/2005

Hi, This is one place where you can get a lot of food and a relatively inexpensive price. The food is very tasty and I can pretty much have an order for lunch and still have some left over for dinner. This is definitely one of my favorite chinese restaurants to go to. I would definitely recommend this place to all lovers of Chinese food. more

Delicious food, good prices 7/14/2005

This is one of my favorite places to get Chinese food. I've been coming here for years and the service, along with the food, is always great. My favorites are the Kung Pao Chicken (which was actually rated the best in the city by Asian Weekly) and their seafood chow mein. The only thing is that their delivery can be a little slow sometimes, depending on when you order. more

Everything you could want from takeaway Chinese 9/24/2004

The best, most well-rounded Chinese menu, everything from decadent Kung Pao to ultrafresh dry wok mixed vegetables. Great, friendly, family service on takeaway ... and almost no one eats in, because the one thing Andy's lacks is a palatable dining atmosphere (phosphorescence and mirrors). No matter ... if I could only eat at one Chinese place for the rest of my life ... more
