Went to see Alkaline Trio here on 3/17/10. The show itself was good, and the beer was priced well, with only one real problem - the beer is served in glass bottles rather than plastic cups. Now, normally I would prefer a bottle to a cup (tastes better, stays cold longer, etc.), but at a rock show, especially one with an active pit, people tend to be dumb and throw things. And, sure enough, within 3 minutes of the main act going onstage, I got pegged in the face by a flying glass bottle. Luckily, neither the bottle nor my face broke, but I wasn't the only one hit and this seems like it could be a huge liability issue - not to mention the fact that the floor was covered in broken glass after the show ended. I was under the impression that there were regulations about this sort of thing, but I'm from Virginia and maybe North Carolina doesn't have the same rules when it comes to proper serving vessels at concert venues - still, I think it would be a good idea for the management to look at changing their policy, at least for the shows that could get a little wild.
Pros: Good acoustics, plenty of space, decent prices
Cons: Beware of glass
