There are definitely worse lanes in the Houston metropolitan area in a lot seeder parts of town. Lane maintenance is questionable, mechanically there are ball returns that took chunks out of my bowling ball, and their cleanliness has a good deal yet to be desired. I attribute a lot of the shortcomings on the age of the lanes, and the structure. Ownership recently upgraded the scoring function and although the snipits from the PBA after strikes or splits can be amusing it doesn't cover the fact that the lanes themselves will experience breakdowns almost every night. In 2 years of league bowling I can only recall a handful of nights where we went issue free. Either the pin setter would miss a pin (set up 9 instead of 10), or the ball return wouldn't return the ball, or the electronic scoring would need to be watched to be sure that accurate scoring was being followed are only a few of the issues besieging these lanes.
