Got an oil change not at GT & they told me I had some oil leaks. I decided to get it checked out, and I went to GT. They said I needed to get my oil pan replaced, so I consented. After I got home, I noticed that there was a long trail of oil tracing my car's path.
I checked the oil level and it was pretty low, but ok. I called up GT and they said to bring it back in. I asked if it was safe to drive and they said yes, so I trusted them (which probably wasn't a good idea considering how much oil had been lost, and how much was probably lost on the way back). They said the oil pan gasket was put on backwards and that they put on a brand new one (supposedly not reusing the same one coated in oil) and everything should be fine now.
I drove home again and the next day, checked under my car again and there was a new fresh puddle of oil. I took it back in and they said that they just hadn't cleaned up the outside of the oil pan well enough (I realized right then that they weren't doing a thorough job) and that it was just remains from the first leak.
I drove it for a few days, checking for leaks often and everything seemed fine. In the following months though, I noticed that my oil pan still leaks when I park on a slope. I decided to just do a quick visual inspection myself and the gasket is still not seated correctly.
They were fairly fast, but they weren't cheap and they didn't get the job done right. Very frustrating experience.
Pros: Free wireless Internet
Cons: Never fixed the problem; acted like their screw-ups were no big deal
