American Grill is just that, American fare. This was the former Iguana Cafe. The decor is lovely. Dim lighting added to the romantic feel of the evening. The service was fantastic and our server introduced us to a new Riesling (white wine) we fell in love with. They have an interesting menu. Too much veal for my taste but that's me. While they had an interesting choice of main dishes, most of them, and if I remember my count correctly, 13 of them included some type of potato as the side. Maybe the chef needs to find new sides. A new starch is definitely in order. Aside from that, their food is tasty and they are very accommodating about substituting or removing items in their dishes. Absolutely worth a try.
