I had the single worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant/bar at this place. Let me explain why.
We went in, sat down at the bar, and ordered our drinks. The bartender/owner, Henry, served us. The second after we got our drinks, his wife presented us with a check and said ""I'll take that whenever you're ready."" We were surprised, because we'd expected to stay a while and maybe have another drink. After about five minutes, she came back over and said, ""Have you taken care of this yet?"" Her tone made it sound like she was a teacher disciplining a student. We said no and asked her when they were closing. She replied that they were already closed. She had the coldest attitude possible, like she was a police officer talking to a suspect. We were pretty annoyed already but tried to make the best of the situation. I put down my credit card to pay, but nothing happened. 10 minutes later, after I came back from the restroom, I found his wife in an argument with my wife and talking to her in a very confrontational way. The issue was that they had already shut down their payment system for the cards, and were now blaming us for the problem. I asked his wife why they hadn't just told us they were already closed when we walked in. She didn't have an answer. She just started demanding that we pay and telling us how they have business hours and that they were now closed. In essence, we were being kicked out of the place after less than 30 minutes--before we even finished out drinks, and we were causing her so much trouble by being there. It was unbelievable and was the exact opposite of customer service. She didn't care how rude she was. She just wanted to get our money right at that second and wanted us to leave. It wasn't just that she had disrespected me, but the way that she was talking to my wife. I feel really sorry that Henry has to deal with her.
