I told him I was new to car stereos (not completely true) and I think that the idea that he could talk me into throwing my gear away and buying his... After examining my awesome component speakers he said it wasn't worth the trouble and that I needed to buy new ones. Thinking that I had knowledge to gain from this guy who's in charge of his own car audio shop, I stupidly kept the conversation going and brought in an amp I had purchased after doing my own research. ""Chuck"" told me that the gear I had purchased was ""a piece of cr*p"" and just because it said 240 watts on the front doesn't mean anything. He said it may as well have said 2400 watts or 10,000 watts written on the side. He pointed to the fuse on the side and said that that was a tale tale sign it was garbage. Wow, every amp I've ever seen has a fuse. Like any sane person I asked ""why"". He said the only way to shop for gear was from a ""well established and reputable shop"" like his own. \r \r Alllllssssooooooo, in the middle of our conversation he took a really long phone call and got into a horrible argument with someone that he angered and then proceeded to imitate the person with a whiny voice like a child after hanging up. \r \r This guy is majorly disgruntled and evil, the staff was afraid of him... yeah these people are no help at all, you would think a speacialty shop would have a helpfull staff and ideas for improving your stereo, instead i felt like julia roberts in pretty women when she goes to buy a dress and the snobby yet pretentious staff treats her like a white trash hoebag, I was very disspleased and will take my business elsewhere! what a bunch of a-holes Cons: everything more

I had a new car stereo installed at a local electronics store and they told me I would need a specific part that they didn't have in stock, and I should go get the part at Alpha Audio. Having been to Alpha Audio twice now, I can tell you, don't ever go there. When I went in today, for example, there were five employees in the store and zero customers. I stood at the counter for about a minute before I realized the staff had no intention of stopping their chit-chat to help me. I interrupted them and asked about tweeters. The guy who answered said about three words ""Ain't got none"" and went back to the chit-chat with the other staff. Really poor service and not even the most basic parts in stock.
