The Best "One Stop Shopping!" 12/28/2005

I have been a customer of the Allure Spa since they opened, 9 years ago. I have done it all! there is nothing I have not had done in this jem of a place. from facials to pedicures, from color to hair cuts, they are always the true professionals. The two ladies that run this place, make sure they are staffed with the top in the business so they can provide services that are the top in the business! I have tried EVERYTHING and EVERY ONE, always receiving the best in service and care. THIS WAS MY THIRD VISIT TO THE ALLURE SPA. THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL!! THE EXPERTISE, THE INTIMATE SETTING, THE GREAT WORK, IT IS ALL EXCEPTIONAL. THE TWO WOMEN THAT OWN IT ARE VERY SAVY BUSINESS WOMEN. THE PLACE IS EVERYTHING IT SOULD BE AND THEN SOME. ME AND MY HUSBAND WENT TO THE ALLURE SPA FOR A COMPLETE DAY OF BEAUTY, WE DID EVERTHING FROM FACIALS TO MASSAGE, WE BOTH GO MANICURES AND PEDICURES (A FIRST FOR MY HUSBAND) AND FINISHED THE DAY WITH COLOR AND A CUT FOR ME AND A HAIRCUT FOR HIM. WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING DAY. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY GOT SO MANY TALENTED PEOPLE IN ONE PLACE! I have visited many spas through out the country and I have to say that Allure is one of my favorite places. I usually only have time to get a facial or massage but recently I decided to change may hair style and to my delight I had the pleasure of meeting Jay Ferrara. He highlighted and cut my hair to a style that not only looks terrific but is also easy to manage. I highly recommend Allure's spa treatments and I would also recommend that you see Jay for your hair coloring and styling. more

I went to the Allure Day Spa & Hair Design for my Birthday for a full day of beauty. I was there for 6 hours of bliss. I had a great massage and body treatments, my hair and makeup was done, and I had my nails done. I had such a great day that I was dissapointed it went by so fast. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a day just for themselves. The staff are great. They are opened daily. more

I start coming to Allure 5 years ago and I can say its the Best Spa ! Any services I get there are best guality and girls are so nice too, I feel like home . I love my facial with Ela,electrolisys with Marta, pedicure with Marina, b.bikini with Katy and my hair color with Alexandra. Also the fact that they open on sunday I love too. Massage 7/4/2005

I had a 7pm appt. so I may have been the last session of the day. I found the receptionist to be aloof and cold and nobody asked me how the massage was or anything regarding my experience. The massage therapist was fair, but must admit it was the first time I was not asked beforehand if I had any preference for type of massage or had any aches or problems that she should be aware of. She did ask once if the pressure was ok, but that was about it. I thought because this was a complete spa service that I would be treated in a special way, to feel "pampered". But on the contrary, I felt the staff was not concerned at all about my experience. more

I came to Allure because of company discount but the service was not discounted. I had a hot stone massage with Jennifer and it was very relaxing. The price I thought is reasonale for the location. The space was clean even though generic. The staff was nice and friendly and made us tea. Overall it was a pleasant experience. But given there are so many spas in NY this spa needs to turn it up a notch to lock me in. more

HAIR & MAKEUP 3/14/2005

I went to Allure for the first time yesterday! Alexandra did my hair & makeup, OUTSTANDING. She worked with me, nothing was forced, everything was trial and error (of which there really wasn't). I had a high profile event to attend & when Alexandra finished with me; I looked like a rock star. It was the first time i had makeup done & I didn't look overdone. The price for a makup application is $50, as it states on their website, but I wore my hair half up, half down & it cost $100; I was told styling started at $35 over the phone - how they got to $100 I'm not sure - be sure to ask before you go. ALEXANDRA was great though. I am definately going back for a cut. The salon was very low key & empty as I went at 3 PM on a Monday. more

For Men Too... 3/4/2005

Had to get a quick haircut and went here on a whim and very glad I did. Haleh did my cut and really took the time to think about the style instead of just picking up clippers and ignoring my requests. It's a bit more money than the typical $15-$20 men's haircut you'll find in this city, but it was worth every penny and I didn't leave feeling like I needed to put hat or run home to restyle it. more

I have been going to Allure for over 5 years now. I started with the bikini waxes. I must say Martha is phenominal in this area. A few months ago I decided to try a facial there from Ela. I fell in love with my skin all over again. The atmosphere is more than relaxing, enchanting almost with the soothing music and the array of teas and coffees you are offered while waiting for your service. Everything about the spa is superb. Went to Allure because it was nearby and I used the coupon for 1st time customers found here on citysearch. Adrianna cut my hair and put in some highlights and also colored my eyebrows. It was a bit more money than I wanted to spend, but I was so happy with the end result. I received a lot of compliments that night on my "new" look. Will definitly go back. I came to Allure first time for facial with Ella on Spa Week special.She gave me the best Facial . She also gave me a lesson not to use moisturisers. I got clenser and toner from them and very happy with results . The place is very pretty and extremly clean. I'm deffinatly coming back there agan. Fantastic! 9/2/2004

I had a facial here and was extremely impressed with the results. She was very thourough with her extractions and did a marvelous job. My face looked very red and bruised up for a day or so, but once it cleared up...I had great looking skin for weeks! Like most salons, they try and pressure you to buy their products...but the products they sell you are really good. My facial with the tip was about $125 which is not bad considering how good a job she did. Pros: Skill , Good products, last minute appts. more
