Best Facial 12/3/2010

For years i had really sensitive skin and rosacea and i was really conservative about where i went to get facials, as treatment often seemed to make it worse. i heard from some friends about this spa and decided to give it a try. I was told by other places that i couldn't use alpha-hydroxy acids because of my skin, but Martha helped me underatand my skin condition and gave me a lot of information about product ingredients. I now know what to avoid and what to look for in products. I listened to her advice and tried a glycolyc facial and changed my home regimen as well.I couldn't believe the improvement in only a month-even, clear, and wonderful skin tone, with the redness disappearing as well. I learned that i don't have to live with my rosacea as long as i have proper skin care. thanks Martha !! more

Not a day of total pampering and relaxation 11/13/2010

i came here with a good friend for some needed rest and pampering on a recent friday morning. we were both excited for a restful and fun day together. As i arrived at 12:15 pm for a 12:30 pm one hour massage followed by a manicure/pedicure i waited for about 7 minutes before Lana came to the front desk. i was given a bath robe which was pretty worn though it did smell clean and told to change in the only one changing room they had, leaving my friend to wait until i finished changing. the massage was just OK. not a bad one but certanily not a memorable one. manicure and pedicure was OK as well. the only thing i really enjoyed was the mimosas being offered which i availed myself to it several times. i found that once we were both done with the services, i felt that at the point they just wanted us to make room for the other customers. it felt rushed as if the services are now done and now you can leave. overall, the experience was just OK. considering there are so many spas in nyc, i think i will pass on returning to Allure spa and give another spa a try. more

My wedding was AMAZING! I 10/8/2010

I just wanted to say a huge thank to the ladies at Allure - The hair and make up that was created on the day of my wedding was AMAZING! I really cannot thank you all enough for what was done. We all left feeling a million $$ which is the biggest compliment i think i can give. Thank you again for arranging breakfast for us - I was so nervous, I couldn't eat for most of the day! I have attached a couple of pictures to your email - The day will go down as one of the best days of our lives - So I cannot thank you all enough for playing a big part in making us feel (and look) like celebrities!! Best Deep Facials 8/31/2010

LOVE Allure Day Spa. I have been coming here for facials for 5++ years and I have NO complaints! Marta is AMAZING! She spends lots of time trying to remove every last blackhead & impurity in your face. You will be red for 2-3 days but it is well worth it in the end.People who reviewed before me have complaints about leaving with red skin.The reason your skin is so red is because of all the extractions they do at Allure (the redder you are the more blackheads you had). If you want to keep your blackheads than go elsewhere. more

I'll never go back 8/24/2010

I normally go to a dermatologists office for my facials, but decided to try this place when I couldn't get an appointment with my regular place. BIG MISTAKE. This was hands down the most painful spa treatment I've ever experienced in my life, and I have a very high tolerance for pain. I'm writing this review the following morning and my face is swollen and I'm STILL in pain. On top of it, once we were done the technician pushed a ton of products on me, and for some reason I caved in and bought them. Well, I'll be returning those products and never spending any money there ever again. more

airbrush tanning 7/23/2010

I was going on vacation and needed a spray tan last minute. Allure got me in with in 15 min when all the other places I called said they couldn't take me. The woman who sprayed me was really nice. Looked really natural. The tan lasted about a week, perfect for my vacation! I will go back before my next trip!!! more

amazing serivce 6/26/2010

i'm getting married in about a week and i decided to have my bachelorette party at allure day spa....it was the most awesome experience of my life single life.. i was able to bring in my own little treats for my girls which they set up in our own little section.. they served us champagne and chocolates took us pictures and were very attentive to our needs...this place is so relaxing...all you have to do is show up.. you really don't have to do a thing, they do it all for you.... i was thinking on how to separate the tips for my services trying to remember everyone's name...but they already had tip envelopes ready all i had to do was give them the money to sort them out. which was great because after we were done we had to leave to continue our day... you could imagine having a bachelorette party with all the girls you really don't have time to think...allure day spa is really a place where you go relax and get pampered...everyone there makes sure your experience at allure something that you wont forget ...i know i will always remember and will be going back on a regular bases thank you allure Pros: anything you can think of allure brings to life Cons: nothing goes wrong more

Amazing job 5/31/2010

This isn't my usual salon, but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did! I went in for color and a cut and I found the experience easy and when I left, my hair looked gorgeous. First, they were sooo accomodating when I was running late. Second, they were very professional. The stylist actually listened to me and cut my hair based on the shape of my face. I didn't feel rushed and he gave me his undivided attention. I do enjoy my hair cut, the hair style is light and airy. I would recommend this salon! Pros: Friendly, professional Cons: none more

Fabulous experience 1/10/2010

A co-worker recommended Allure Day Spa as the top of its class for airbrushing. I didn't want to leave anything to chance, because I had a bad experience using the spray booths before. But this was way different. The tech customized the color to match my skin type and the time she took to do that- well, it really showed. The color was stunning; same color I turn when I tan under the sun.Allure itself is very nice, very spa-like and sophisticated. And the customer service was very pleasant and informative. My co-worker was impressed when she saw me come in - now she's headed back to Allure herself. Great find! Pros: best airbrushing Cons: none more

Great hot stone massage, somewhat cramped location 1/7/2010

I really enjoyed my first hot stone massage here and the overall level of professionalism of the staff. There were two things that were not ideal during my visit however. I had an appointment and ended up having to wait a good 15minutes for my masseuse to become available. And during that time I realized that being early at this spa has no side benefits that one can take advantage of, namely no sauna/steam room, no wet rooms, no shower even. On the plus side though, they do have a hair and nail salon in the same space and so it's a convenient choice for a one-stop head-to-toe beauty day. more

Great place 9/1/2009

Fenny did cut and color . Looked lovely and I was very pleased with the quality of service for the price i paid . I saved $60 compared to my previous salon, which was getting a little pricey. Color came out great. They got me in quickly and it is a nice place. Saturday afternoons can be busy with Bridal parties, but they seem to handle OK. Ask for 10% off as a first time client Pros: very clean more

My Amazing Spa Day!!!! 8/23/2009

I went to allure day spa on thursday and had a great experience there. The service was impeccable!!! Everything was scheduled perfectly and the staff are so attentive. I got a manicure,pedicure,massage, waxing and haircut and have not one complaint. I'm so happy that I found a great, friendly place in nyc and I will definately be back soon. more

Great service, wonderful ambiance 8/18/2009

I visited Allure Day Spa last week because I had been looking for a new salon where I can get my waxing and facials done, after a falling out with my regular facialist...I found a coupon on their website for summer specials for a massage and facial so I decided to check it out...When I got there I was amazed at how nice the place was! The decor was done tastefully and elegantly...I was immediately greated by a nice, blonde lady at the front desk...I was curious about what other services the offered because I noticed there were hair stations, and manicure stations ...They pretty much do it all! ...Anyways, my massage and facial were awesome! I've never felt so pampered....I definitely want to go back and try some of their other services... Pros: Awesome massage and facial ! Cons: Can't think of any more

Saturday Full Day Spa 5/16/2009

I had a full day spa this Saturday and it was a wonderful experience. I had the best facial with Ela. Now I know what a facial is!!!! I cant begin to tell you how everyone the attended me was so nice and pleasant. from my manicure to the lady that did my makeup. unfortunately I can't remember all their names. but thank you all you were all great.
