I am rating the Cathy Sink Agency as a one because a zero rating was not possible. I have been a loyal Allstate customer for the last 24 years and never made a claim of any kind. I have insured both my autos and my home through them and everything went smoothly until I filed a claim. We were involved in an accident that was not our fault. The other driver freely admitted fault, the police report reflected it was not our fault, and witnesses also stated the other driver was at fault. We immediately contacted our Allstate agent and things went downhill from there. Our agent gave us wrong and misleading information, in fact he lied outright to us. He claimed we would be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses we had. He also told us the other insurance company had approved all reimbursements and would send us a check within the next seven business days. When the seven days came and went we contacted him and that’s when he really got rude and extremely unprofessional. He accused us of writing emails critical of Allstate and that was not helping our claim. Then we started getting emails from Cathy Sink herself. She apparently got our agent’s side of the story and told us we would never see any further reimbursement. Not once did we get a phone call from either the agent or Cathy Sink to ask for our side of the story. I can only imagine what would have happened if the accident were our fault. It comes down to a lack of trust and confidence in Allstate, especially the Cathy Sink Agency, and an extreme lack of customer service.
