I had worked for NY State for 29 yrs with DAM Good Health Insurance. I was also Family Care Providers for 4 adult mentally retarded men for 13 yrs.\r Made a living in the 6 digits. Lost my home, vehicles. ones I loved and cared for, my full retirement. Lost my dignity, my self-worth, my value. Lost our Health Insurance. \r Fighting to get approved for SSD which I did, 16 months before I was told I would even get a hearing.\r My husband retired after giving 21 yrs to Professional Firefighting Service. Which left him with No Health Insurance. Well the option is there, called COBRA but only at the cost of $1,000 plus a month.\r We moved to Vegas for the betterment of my health 12/1/2010. To then be treated very poorly by a Property Mngt. Groups. No, we had no health ins. No we were not looking for any hand-outs. Yes, my husband was looking for a job which included health ins. benefits and he finally landed one in April. But prescription plan is pitiful.\r January I was having bad pains in my stomach. My pain tolerance is pretty high but ended up going to the ER. Two days later ended up there again and with nothng I felt accomplished. As in March all of a sudden one night the pain was so excuriating I took 2 pain pills at once and went again to the ER. This time I allowed the Doctor to admit me as I wasn't going home and had the diagnosis of kidney stones and pancreatitus. \r Was I thinking of Free Medical then, NO. Was I worried about the accrualling expenses, and leading to the ""c"" word? You bet I was. \r I have been filling out applications for financial assistance. Thank God I have a copy machine. Now I am waiting to be notified of the outcome. In the meantime, out of the blue I rec'd a, and was only 1 phone call from Mr. Card. It is in regards to my outstanding bill from the Radiologists for $440.00. Who proceeded on stating to me, the bill is since January? The amount due now is $561.89? Well the radiologists tack on int. every mo. he said. I asked why did I get only one invoice dated 2/21/2011. Mr. Card replied, ""Well they only send one out."" They ain't got the money to send more out. Told me if I didn't give him the total amount, then next day will tack on another $450. for legal fees. Would you bellieve I was stupid enough to give him my debit card number over the phone to take the amt. out of my SSD check next Wednesday? \r I got to thinking. You know people, we have to become our own Attorneys. I called the Radiologists. They did send me out another invoice which I had moved and never received (2) of them. They also do not add any interest to their bills. That Collection Agency was sent my overdue bill during the 3rd wk in May so since then and yesterday they had added $110. to that bill of mine.\r The Radiologists was notifying Mr. Card to hold my bill for 60 days until my applications are approved or not. (Could be approved for 20 -100% discount off of the medical bills). And now I have to go to my Bank. As I told Mr. Card not to debit the money from my account, That was the last comment, WANT FREE MEDICAL CARE, and hung up on me. \r This company which I was never told the name of, I had to ask the Radiologists. Allied Collection, located on Durango. Also use many different phone numbers, even the recpt. there told me so. \r A little compassion? Not everyone is out for nothing. A job is a job, maybe. Arrogance is awful. \r Hope this helps some of you readers out there. \r Have to go to another sight for review on Property Mgt. Groups. I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE DOING THEIR JOB AND THATS FINE,BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE SO RUDE AND TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THE SCAM OF THE EARTH.IN MY CULTURE,WE BELIEVE DOING GOOD OR JUST BEING NICE COMES BACT TO YOU A HUNDRED FOLDS AND THE OPPOSITE COMES BACK A THOUSAND FOLDS.NEED I SAY MORE? more

These people needs telephone manners and even just a little of conscience. They are very RUDE and THREATENING you all the time that you will be reported in the credit bureau and will just HANG UP the phone even you are not still finish talking. Perhaps this is the way they are trained? Bad training i should say...They are also human beings who have feelings, knowlegde and breeding unless they are MONSTERS that's why they have no human qualities. Just a piece of advise, if you have bills from them, never attempt to call or you just feel frustrated and angry, just pay online or find other ways to make a payment so as not to talk to these monters. They are very frustrating and heartbreaking. I wonder how they sleep at night being too mean to their fellowmen. more

These guys need to learn to take people off their call list then requested. I have had my new phone for about a year and I am constantly receiving calls from ACS regarding someone I have never heard of owing money.\r \r No matter how many times I tell these people I have never heard of the person they are asking for and could they please take me off their list - sure enough, a few days later there they are calling again to bother me.\r \r Maybe I should hire a collection service to harass these guys for the cost of all the cell phone minutes I have wasted answering their annoying calls. Pros: I guess it might work - when they are calling the ACTUAL people who owe the money Cons: 70% of the calls I receive on my cell phone are from these guys and I'm not even the guy they are looking for. more
