There are no words to express how grateful we are to Don & Helen. We had a very bad experience with a different local exterminator who did not guarantee their work - but offered to return for more money. I only wish I had found Alley Cat first.
When I called an explained what happened, Helen immediately put Don on the phone. He asked me detailed questions to try & figure out what was going on. He did NOT want to know the name of the company we had an issue with - a true sign of professionalism. We scheduled an appointment for later in the day.
Don arrived within the 1 hour window that we had set up with a smile on his face. We looked at the newly formed hive & he took the time to explain to me in detail what type of insect was building it & why the new hive was being formed. It seems that while the first exterminator who came probably got the queen, the area was still covered in her pheromones. Any paper wasps not in the area during the initial spraying returned to build where she had instructed them to with her scent.
I had shared with Don that our 7 year old has an intense fear of bugs. When everything was completed he invited PJ down to check everything out. PJ got to learn a little bit about insects & how they build their hive . . . And when he was scared Don used a calm & gentle voice to let him know it was OK.
Don also apologized to me for the experience I had with the other exterminator. He felt it reflected poorly on him & his industry. To ensure we have no more problems he is returning on Saturday to check the area & make sure there is not another recurrence -- at no additional charge.
In a day & age where folks just seem to want to figure out how much money they can make & how fast they can complete a job, Don took the time to build a relationship. I was not just another customer he dealt with today --he made me feel like an old friend. I hope to never need his services again but if I ever do, I know without hesitation that he will be here to take care of me & my family.
