I went to this establishment to rent my wedding dress. I settled on a gown but, it was to long the owner told me she had it in a short and it would fit perfectly for my size and height but, it was being rented. In order to reserve that style she told me I need to put a deposit down. The store was very busy as she does prom dress rentals also. Fearing that another bride might like my dress I decided to hold the dress with a deposit of $190 ($150 dress, $40 cleaning fee) This also happens to be the total rental cost. When the dress was back in the store I went in to try it on, this was one month before my wedding. When I tried it on it was way to long. The owner tried to ignore this fact and put me in five inch shoes. I reminded her that I have back problems and can not wear shoes that high. She then began making rude comments about my body, loud enough for everyone in the place to hear. She then told me in order for her to get me a dress to fit I would need to pay $100 for a special order fee. I did not want to do business with someone who would talk to me the way she did and she did not provide me with a dress we had agreed on. So I decided to wait and see if I could find a dress I liked and was cheap at David's Bridal. I did find a dress I liked at David's Bridal. When I called then next day to see about getting my money back she began yelling and screaming at me. The owner said all she is obligated to do is provide me with a size 6 dress. When I reminded her it was to be a SHORT, she said "that's your problem, I have your signature on this contract, and there is nothing you can do about it!" I have never received my money back form her. I wound up spending three times more money on a dress than I had budgeted for.
David's Bridal was awesome! The girl that helped me there was nice, patient and very helpful in getting the dress together for me in less than a month!
