Alaska Ferry Adventures

I loved the really nice mix of people travelling on the ferries, tourists & some locals as well,easy to find some one to talk to & exchange stories with. Several of us doing trips with Alaska Ferry Adventures, all got to know each other,at least by sight & we all learnt the' ferry way ' of doing things as we went along. In small places like Glacier Bay Lodge, it seemed like we knew half of the people staying there, as they were Alaska Ferry Adventure people too more

We visited Alaska on a trip arranged by Alaska Ferry Adventures in July of 2010. This involved complex planning and ticketing coordinating accommodations in various towns, bush plane flights, and a ferry trip across the Gulf of Alaska as well as a trip to Dinali on the Alaska RR. These people are THE BEST. We are going back this year for a trip to the Aleutians and north to Fairbanks and the Arctic Circle and are again working with Alaska Ferry Adventures. AKA is not a traditional tour-type travel agency although I believe that they will work with clients if a ""tour"" is what you want. . We feel that their great talent is helping adventure travelers who want to be on their own while exploring Alaska but want to know that their travel advice and transportation coordination is the absolutely dependable. AKA will arrange side trips such as flight seeing or small boat exploration.
