Excited to be back! 7/15/2011

I bought a Lexus from this place a year ago and the car was totaled but I got all my money back, that tells me how good their price was. I bought it at a good price so even a year later and car is totaled, I am still getting ALL my money back. I'm going to there now so I can get myself another car. more

A lot of cars!!!! 7/15/2011

I just walked in and looked at their inventory this morning. There were over 200 cars and they have BMW, MBZ, Porsche,.....a lot of cars.....This is like going to walmart. A big place with all the brand you can find. I like it so much. I am going to go bid on a car tomorrow. I am thinking to buy the Porsche Cayenne. Hopefully i will get it. I want it so bad. more

want your cake and wanna eat it too? 7/15/2011

I think alot of people have the wrong idea about auction. if you want a spotless car... go to a franchise dealer, and pay their full price. if you want to spend less for a similar car, you can do that at the auction. you can't expect to save money and have a show room car too. most of the disappointment is self inflicted; I'm sorry to say it because I am sure alot of people who wrote these reviews had a bad experiance, but maybe the expectation was too high? I bought my car with out expectation because I didn't want to pay the full price. I did a little research, used caution, and it worked out fine. I loved the experiance. more

NO MORE PUSHY SALESMAN... SALESMAN BE GONE!!! :) 7/14/2011

I had a blast! they had ton of cars, lots of people... it was like going to a fair. the best part was that there was no pushy salesman with fake smile with a hook. I bought a 09 Dodge Charger, and saved some money too. They gave me a low interest rate, and got a good deal on a warranty too. overall I would definately buy here again. I had to change the fluides, but I do that no matter what anyways. I am happy with my experiance here, and I'm gonna bring my brother here next month to buy a car for him... awsome!!! more

Great prices on nice cars!!! 7/13/2011

Was hearing about this place for very long time and finally decided to check it out. A lot good looking cars on preview day, but still was sceptical after all this reviews. Auction was very fun, but few times was not sure if the was a real bet on a car or not. Anyway, got my self Lexus for the price way belowe creaigslist or any privet party and it runs very good with no problems. So I gues it still worth to try and get a good deal on nice car. more

It works for me 7/11/2011

I've been attending auctions at Alameda County Auction since 2004. Bought a few cars there over the years, and just recently last January. I thought I had a problem with the last car, but it was only a burnt fuse, and some guy [Dale?] replaced it and no more problems. Follow this advice, and you'll rarely have problems buying cars here: know what you are looking for, do a quick inspection of the car on preview day, and probably most important, don't get caught up in the excitement of the crowd. It appears that bidders here have a gambler's mentality, and they bid on something that looks nice, but they haven't even inspected it. That don't even make sense. I learned that lesson a long time ago when I attended an auction in LA, and bought a car without inspecting it. What a headache! Moral of the story - check out the car before you bid on it, and you won't have any surprises. more

They are from gangsterdom! 2/6/2011

-1000 rate. I will never forgot how the lady and the big guy around me when I want to return the junk car to them. They sell me a totally junk car with over market price and I need to fix about $4000 (I think that just a beginning). They make me broken. They are scam. I don't know why the government allow they open. The lady mention about they are...something DMV.....that means they are work for ....? And I don't know why the BBB could give them so good rate. I don't have money to hire a lawyer. A poor girl, no way to fight to them. more

Solid group of slick gray flat tops, and false teeth smiles 2/6/2011

I went to the auction yesterday (2/5/11) and after reading all of the not so flattering reviews you nice people have taken the time to write, I have to admit that I was a tad leeeery about this place than normal. more

Great Experience 10/20/2010

As with any big purchase including a car purchase, it is very important that you do your homework ahead of time and go in with some ammo. Just because someone doesn't want to take to time to do this doesn't mean that they're getting ripped off. more

Research before you buy 5/7/2009

I don't recomend this place for people that have little knowledge about cars because some of these cars look good in the outside but does not mean you are getting a good deal with the price. The auction price is usually a minimum of $5000 starting bid which I believe is not fair to bidders..some or the cars are not worth that much because of the auctions fees, tax and all that other stuff that can be 1000-3000 more after the initial bidding price. These cars are already in a must sell quick situation.. If you buy a car for its kbb value or what the vehicle is worth you are in a loosing situation. Some of the cars are wet inside, have been in accidents, are not well maintained.. since you are not able to test drive you are gambling on what the car is really worth... I recomend to carfax all vehicles in your wish list and set a budget on atleast 3000 below kbb of the car to compensate for mechanical problems.. Salvage title is always a loosing situations. Never get that!!!! cars that have accident history do not get because they can have eletrical problems to say the least.. I have bought cars here before and probably half of the cars is not worth going to bidding wars with.. Just remember you don't have to buy are car here on auction day and you didn't pay much to get in so best thing to do is go a few once or twice and check out how the system goes to get a better feel of whats really going on. Do not rush into buyinhg a car here, they are not that great... Good luck guys Pros: once in a while good deals Cons: carfax doesn't tell you all more

It's an AUTO Dealership 3/5/2009

This is your standard auto dealership with a few twists. First of all, do your homework. Get their listing on the Thursday prior to the show (which they reccomend on their website), and then go their on the Friday before the show to check out your cars. Pros: Large selection-great savings Cons: High risk more

very bad customer service and very rude people 1/5/2009

I went there with my husband on Sat because they had an auction. I regret it big time. We won the bid on a car and we wanted to go take a look at the car. We saw this Indian man named DAL and he starts to yell and scream in our faces and uses bad words and swears at us. We have no idea why was he doing all that. We asked him nicely to talk to us nicely and to stop yelling and screaming. He said "" you are not here to teach me my job, I am an SB and that is my job"" so we decided to go and complain to his boss. His boss was a wonderful person and he asked him to apologize, he lied to my face and said he apologized already and he never used bad words, then he apologized finally because his boss made him. After that his boss took us to complete the car registration and pay. We went there and there was a mean young lady with blond hair and blue eyes. So rude and mean and she kept lecturing us about how we should have read this and read that and how we should have worked harder etc... All that because we asked her about some of the charges that we didn?t understand. I kept telling myself it is ok it will be over with soon. We asked her to repeat something that she said to us because we didn?t hear what she told us and she responded in a very mocking rude way so at that point I was boiling and I told her to stop talking to us that way. Her answer was, I am not yelling. So I told her stop talking to us like we are idiots. We simply had a few questions and that doesn?t make you a lecturer and doesn?t make us criminals. My god what a terrible customer service. We were waiting for another car that we wanted to purchase but we decided to leave and never come back because of this bad customer service. My god it is like a crime to ask someone to repeat something.. what a rude uptight person she was. I will never go back there again and I will never ever recommend that place to anyone. Pros: non Cons: very bad by all means more

DO NOT BUY FROM ALAMEDA COUNTY AUCTIONS THEY ARE THIEVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/1/2008

Dishonest, deceiving and the most criminal business entity. They MUST be investigated by the California Attorney General?s office as well as FBI for the business practices that allow them to get away with fraud and with scamming consumers out of millions of dollars. This is the company that consistently being mentioned in BB reports. Having said that due to the fact that Better Business is the most useless entity that does nothing to help consumers they are rating ACA as having satisfactory record..Can you believe that ??? more
