What a NIGHTMARE experience from Continental Air Transport from suburbs to O'Hare and back. AVOID THIS SERVICE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Price sounded good: $149.00 for private, wheelchair van service from south suburbs to O'Hare (both ways). 30 minutes late picking us up to go to the airport and never did get a ride going back and had to spend 2 hours arguing with guy at counter and girl on phone only to end up spending an extra $123.00 on a cab. Scheduled 7:40 PM pick-up at O'Hare, guy at counter claimed we asked for 8:30 even though our flight came in at 7:00 PM. After waiting 30 minutes, we were told the van was on it's way and would arrive in 15 - 20. 30 minutes later driver shows up but already has 2 other wheelchair passengers in van and must drop them first even though we ordered a private van. Didn't matter though as there was not enough room for our son in his wheelchair, us and luggage. Get on phone and end up in big argument . Now they claim the original van broke down and another would arrive by 8:30. 8:30 arrives, no van. Keep checking and keep getting told that it would be there any minute and it's not their fault because they contract accessible vans out to a differernt company. Now it's 9:00 and we've been there for 2 hours. Finally talk to another service (Yellow Cab) and they have an accessible van ready in 5 minutes. Had to spend an extra $123.00 to get home. Just as we're about to get into yellow cab, my wife gets a phone call from Continental Air Express saying it will be another hour before their van can get there. You can imagine what my wife told them. Finally get home at 10:30 PM. At 11:30 PM we get a call on our cell phone form Contintental Air Express driver saying he's looking for us at the airport LOL oh &^*$(%# L. Had we waited, we wouldn' t have got home until 12:30 or 1:00 AM. Now we have to call on Monday morning to try to get a refund. Can't wait for that experience. AGAIN, AVOID CONTINTENTAL AIR TRANSPORT LIKE THE PLAGUE.
