I have been a customer of Air Comfort for over eight years but I will never do business with them again. Their web site claims their technicians will arrive in uniform and remove their shoes; the tech arrived at my house in a t-shirt, shorts and earring and even though he was in and out numerous times he never removed his shoes. He told me I had mold by glancing at a vent cover from several feet away and tried to sell me a $750 duct cleaning to solve that problem. I was also quoted $6500 for an upstairs A/C unit. I requested a $300 refund on the 3-year maintenance contract that I paid for in November 2012 because I knew I could no longer trust them, from the technician all the way to Michael Horton, the owner. As of this writing they are still arguing with me over the refund and I feel like if I ever get a refund from them it will be far less than the $250 ($300 less one maintenance visit) I feel they owe me. By the way, I hired an independent mold remediation specialist to come to my home and he said there is no mold, and that even if there was mold, a duct cleaning at any price would not solve that problem. Do NOT call Air Comfort, and please warn your friends, neighbors and co-workers to stay away from them.
