Staff: A medical doctor on our board and reviews participant charts every month. An RN nurse and a LPN nurse. 98% of our front line staff are Certified nursing Aides. We are the only adult day care in the state that has licensed music therapist. Our staff has been trained by the music therapist to provide music appreciation daily. None of these positions are required by our license. No other adult day care in the state has the combination of highly qualified staff that we offer.-
Only closed on New Year's Day; Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Extended Hours: For a small additional fee, you can have participant start the program at 6 am or as stay until 6 pm.. Exercise/Massage/Stretching: We offer 3 level of Exercise geared to seniors. We offer the exercise twice a day,half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon. Once a month we have a licensed Massage Therapist provides massage and stretching classes. No other month we have a licensed Massage Therapist provides massage and stretching classes. No other Adult Day Care offers this amount or variety of exercise,massage,and stretching. Meals: We are the only adult day care to offer at LEAST two choices of entrees for lunch. We provide any type of special diet at no additional cost. Activities: We offer a wide variety of activities throughout the day. We offer 3 activities or 3 levels of the same activity during all of our activity times. Twice a month,we have the services of 2 licensed cosmetologists,at the lowest prices of any other adult day care. Once a month we have a massage therapist provide services at a very discounted rate. Intergenerational Programming: We offer the widest variety of interactions with students from pre-schools,elementary,intermediate,high schools,and colleges on the regular basis of any adult day care in the state. We are the only adult day care chosen by both University of Hawaii,Nursing undergraduate and graduate schools,as part of their rotation of clinical experiences! Recently,we were chosen by UH-Hilo to train some of their nursing students. We also have graduate students all the way from the University of Southern California and the University of Arizona! We were the only adult day care chosen by all these schools. Spiritual Programs: We have the widest variety of church/religious activities/programming of any adult day care. All religious sessions are optional,an alternative activity is always offered.
