Ah, Aggy & Valley! What is there to say, except that given my impending move downtown, I am already plotting weekly trips uptown just for this store. Yes, I am a bit fanatical about this store and rightfully so.
I cannot fault 99% of this store. I would give it a "Perfect" rating, if it wasn't for one unfortunate incident with past-due mozzarella. And that is offensive to me - I'm serious about mozzarella.
But so are they - as evidenced from the process of it being made by hand, right in front of you. And the rest of their cheese selection is yummo; on a good day, they'll have samplings of two or three different kinds out for customers to try.
The rest of the store is a sight for sore eyes and stomachs as well. Their produce just seems that much more greener, their meats just that much more fresher, and their prepared foods, including sushi, just that less greasy than standard buffet fare. Isn't it funny how their individual desserts are displayed before you, right where you wait in the long lines for the register? Well, that's not a coincidence. I dare you to try and leave without grabbing one to go.
