SERIOUSLY save yourself from this company!!! I have nothing but the worst time with Affordable Rent-A-Car. It may be affordable at first but they have screwed me over so bad in the long run. I purchased my car from this company. The owners are SERIOUSLY never there. You can ask to speak with the owner and you will get told that they are not available. Their staff is beyond rude and nobody there will give you the same answer. I have paid off my car and infact overpaid and they are wanting additional money. One person would give me one amount. The other person would give me another amount. To my surprise, the owner Dave, told me I was done paying and to not make anymore payments & that he was going to look into what they are going to refund me, so I didn't make anymore payments. Now I'm being told that I have more payments due. Since the owners are never there to ""supervise"" their employees, everything is a mess. I have left Dave a message everyday for the last 2 weeks and was told, he wasn't there and that he couldn't call me until he got in the office, but yet they will leave a message for him and text him that I had been calling in. Just today I called asking for Dave & was told that he did come in this morning, but had left. SERIOUSLY?! I've been calling in to PROVE that I have made all my payments and to tell him that I have overpaid and he doesn't want to call me back? Obviously, they are also horrible at following up. This company doesn't even deserve one star. NOBODY at this place is on the same track with anything. PLEASE stay away from this company. If you have to pay extra for a car, do it! Trust me, you'll be doing yourself a HUGE favor. \r
Also let me add, that they repo'd my car, saying that I didn't make two payments, which I did & proved to them by showing them that they deposited my check. They are currently saying that I am $1,000 past due and have $1,300 in late charges. If they repo'd my car for being two months late, why hasn't my car been repo'd for being $1,000 past due and have $1,300 in late charges. That's even more money that they ""allege"" that I owe, compared to the two months being ""past due"" on my car payment. Such a joke. I guess I'll continue to try to get it through their heads that I have paid everything off. If they didn't get rid of Tonya, who had been helping us and has had records of everything, maybe they'd understand, but instead their employee wants to call me an ""asshole"" (seriously she said that) for being rude to them. I'm sorry, but I'm upset. I've been trying to get this resolved for the longest time. I have been doing everything they have been asking me for & I'm done being taken advantage of. Next step will be court.
