Terrible company does not repair things in timely manner. Waited 7 days for hot water heater to be fixed. Waited 6 months for dishwasher to be replaced. Problems with ants and rats, garbage on property and have water damage in ceiling that hasn't been repaired they just painted over it and told me it was ok. BEWARE do not rent from them!!! more

Parkcreek village. No snow removable,no garbage pickup,management picks and choose who stays and who goes.has been made aware of drug use in complex.nothing done management fines for everything depending on who you are. Not a real safe or comforting place to live for the high rent you pay. more

I am living in one of their SW PDX properties, and it is actually disgusting how little they care about their tenants. Or anything for that matter. I have literally called and emailed for SIX MONTHS now about my tub faucet being broken, multiple doors have been falling off the hinges, and nobody has gotten back to me. This is multiple phone voicemails I'm leaving, multiple emails, EVERY MONTH asking, begging for any kind of maintenance to be done. And absolutely no response. My lease is ending in a month which I have also tried to bring up with them and I am still getting ignored. Something tells me I won't be getting any sort of deposit back....\r Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT FROM ANY AFFINITY PROPERTY. What if there were an actual emergency?? \r When I first moved in I had a concerned neighbor tell me the exact same thing; she was getting ignored and needed to desperately talk to the manager. I wish I had listened to her. more

Stay Away from Anything Managed By Affinity Property Managem 10/30/2011

Over a month ago I moved out of a property managed by Affinity Property Management. To this date, I have not seen a deposit refund from them, and I have not even received any mail concerning thhe status of my refund or the amount. Although I have called them a number of times and have sent email, they have continued to take no action to resolve this. I have learned that all the other reviews about them posted here are true. As others here have said, they do lie through their teeth and they are the most unethical property management company I have had to deal with. more

Looks ARE Deceiving 9/22/2011

I worked for his company for a year and a half. My advise to any potenial employee is RUN! They lie through their teeth. I thought they were a great company and had ethics and integrity but I was more than wrong. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought they would lie to save their own ass. I was instructed to cheat on my timecard and bill one property for more hours than I actually worked so that the other property got more of my time for free. Right now I am cooperating with a lawyer and the FBI, Charges may be filed against this company for violations of the Fair Housing Act and Civil Rights. I hope they get whats coming to them and if I can help that happen I will gladly do whatever I can. They do have some amazing managers but these people are not reconized nor rewarded for their hard effort. The Portfolio managers take all the credit from the work their staff does and little is done for the good employees. If you are thinking of hiring this company DONT if you are thinking of renting from them DONT and asolutely DO NOT work for them, you'll regret it. I've read the other reviews and they are correct. more

Cambria Apartments in SE PDX 8/28/2011

Last year, this complex was owned by Capital Property Management in Portland, and was turned over to Affinity in late fall. The owner is Daniel O'Neill. Affinity has outsourced management to 3rd Avenue Properties in Camas, WA. According to CPM, all materials were transferred, yet it would seem Affinity has no verification of copies of anyone's lease. Illegal much? Over the course of my 6 month lease, my roommates requested drop forms. Never received. They moved on. I gained a roommate and requested an add form. I never received this either. At the end of my lease term, I asked to sign a new lease. Never got it. Then my 3rd Avenue manager suddenly no longer works there and new management tells me that I am breaking the law by having a roommate who is subletting from me. Not according to Federal. As I am approaching the move-out date, this new manager who KNOWS I am the only person on the lease still residing, sends a notice to my former roommate who left 9 months ago that there is a $38.54 water/sewer outstanding balance. Payment needs to be RECEIVED ... 3 DAYS OF THE POSTMARK. There was no return address on the envelope so maybe I would never check. Also there is no indication of a DATE of an outstanding balance, just ""our records indicate."" This ""out of nowhere"" notice puts me in violation of my security deposit refund addendum. If I do not get my security deposit back, I am going to a lawyer. I will subpoena the owner's contact information as these property management companies do not release that information and allow other residents here to provide him feedback directly by mail. I will also subpoena Affinity's copy of my lease. If they do not have it or have other leases, I am encouraging a lawsuit. more

Leasing from Affinity should be your last option! 8/16/2011

If you really have no other place to live, go ahead and rent from Affinity Property Management. I lived at the Broadway Center Apartments at the edge of downtown Eugene, OR. And not the semi-interesting part of downtown either. More like the scary part, next to the freeway on-ramp where all the more aggressive transients hang out. I had to deal with horrible tenant service (they would avoid you, avoid answering your questions, and avoid fixing problems around the community), criminals barricading themselves in my apartment, rats coming out of toilets, the apartment coming in bad condition (dirty, etc) and the management refused to come look at it, so I had to clean it MYSELF, things stolen from my laundry (the laundry room needs a key to get in, so that's saying something), parts of my bike stolen... this is just the tip of the iceberg people! Don't forget animal feces ALL over the community. A friend of mine also currently lives there and had to wait about two months for a check for referring me, and did not even get the full amount. Bottom line, don't rent from them. more

Think Twice Before Renting from this management Company 5/19/2011

Think twice before renting from Affinity Property Management LLC. \r \r We were renting an apartment from Creekside Village Apartments in Vancouver, WA. This community is on a community water billing system. The apartments are not individually metered. This information was not relayed to us when we moved into this apartment 2 years ago. \r \r According to Affinity Property Management LLC the ""water bill"" is asessed to each tenant based upon occupancy. Affinity Property Management LLC basically decides how much of the community water bill is to be assessed to each tenant. If you do not pay this ""assessed"" amount of the water bill, you will receive a notice on your door that if you do not pay this assessed amount you could be evicted, even if you paid your rent and paid it on time. \r \r There were 2 people in our apartment and our water bill was $100 every month. In the winter month the electric bill was as high as $ 800 per month. \r \r However it was later discovered that apartments with more occupants were paying a much lower water bill. This is vastly different from the information that was relayed to us. \r \r Again, Think Twice before renting from Affinity Property Management LLC. \r \r \r more

Attention- Important Fact for Affinity 10/9/2009

Hey everyone, be really careful when rating Affinity. Because there is Affinity Property Management, but then there is another company called Affinity Group Inc. They appear to be two different companies that both manage real estate properties. Both in Portland Metro area. Just make sure you are referring to the right one, look at the address not just the name. \r The name Tim Benintendi is associated with Affinity GROUP . Just for a point of reference to tell the difference. I am not sure who runs the other Affinity, they have a web site but no names are on it. Pros: 0 Cons: 0 more

This is the worse customer relation property co. I have ever delt with, Beware dont apply if wanting a stable job. 1/6/2009

I had the mistake of taking on a job as a Apartment Manager with this company last year & let me tell ya what an experience. Was hired on in October, mind you my co-worker whom i look to for training left me there after an hour to deal with 40 units & another 30 units down the road to figure out. This is what they call one on one training & how the would be there when i needed. Had the privelage of 1 full-day and 2 hours of training and believe me it was an entire note book with notes and was to learn the software program for our properties as well. December rolls around & my computer, so very old computer goes useless,the caring company was able to send someone out 3 weeks later & yet be disgruntle with me that reports werent on time that we did on our computers. After no training, computer crash & some property management back stabbing i was let go and told it just wasnt working out, imagine that. After waiting a week for my paycheck they screwed up on, i was training the new person in my apartment. Wasnt sure where i was going to go in such short notice with a 3 yr old, & two cats. Oh yes,i left the place spotless, my ex-boss wanted to charge me around $400.00 in fees and charges! We disagreed,come to find out i was more intelligent then the portfolio mgr. I decided to ask a tenant had leased an apartment to that got the shaft at the last minute with the lease signed & no roomate. We helped each other out,There i lived for 6 months in an apartment with my old tenant in a complex i managed with tenants who liked me & Affinity property Management knew nothing. Our new property manager knowing nothing about tenant landlord law, tenant relation & completley un-professional with the privelage of being out smarted, out classed, out knowledged & the thought she was in charge when i actually was. more

Move out = pay out $$$ 7/18/2007

My wife moved out of the Main Street Village Apartments in Tigard in June 2007. They are managed by Affinity. After leaving the place spotless and in excellent condition according to their own move-out check list she was still charged $398 for cleaning, painting and replacing the **drip pans** from the stove. The drip pans were in perfect condition. If you rent at one of their properties don't expect to get your deposit back, they consider it a fee. Check the apartmentratings web site and you find more evidence of this behavior. more
