I have been taking y poodle Coco to Adorable Groomers for about 5 years now and I really like the service I get here. Coco has never been cut and he always looks nice. They are always done sooner than I expect them to be, and Coco is always happy afterwards. I highly recommend this place for others. \r Written for Carol by Jonathan more

We have gone to Adorable now since the week they opened. We have taken several different dogs, a greyhound, 2 different Chihuahuas, a Shar Pei and now a standard Poodle. They are all capable and good to our loved ones. They always do a short cut and have never nicked her to our knowledge. Everyone is very nice. more

I have been taking my dogs here for 10 years, and I am so happy with the service that I always receive. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, and are always willing to listen and try and help in whatever way possible. I am SO disappointed! They made our goldendoodle puppy, who just needed a clean up, especially around his rear, look like a RAT. I asked them to keep him looking like a golden doodle. more

This place is HORRIBLE! We have taken 3/4/2012

This place is HORRIBLE! We have taken our dog here two times and both of those times she came back with several cuts on her face from the groomer trying to cut it way too short. She was also very lethargic for several days after being groomed here. If you love your dog, I would avoid this place at all costs! more

Eddie Loves Adorable Dog Grooming! 11/3/2011

I have been taking my 2 1/2 year old miniature poodle/ dachshund mix here for 2 years now. I had adopted Eddie from a shelter and he had been abused by his previous owner. Needless to say, Eddie was very afraid of people. The girls here bent over backwards to help put him at ease when he'd have his appointments. The girls will greet him as if he were a prince every time I bring him in. They are very patient with him when he becomes stubborn and the one time he was being very uncooperative, Marcie called me to see what I wanted her to do. He had two nails he would not let her trim. I really appreciated that. The first couple of months I had him, he developed these terrible hot spots on his body. The vet said he had dry sensitive skin. The first time I brought him in, I told them about it and they recommended the Oatmeal bath. I get that for him every time I bring him in and he has not had a hot spot since. Not only do I appreciate their kindness and love towards Eddie but I appreciate their knowledge of dogs in general. I live in Broomfield. There are groomers that are a lot closer to where I live but I can't imagine taking him any place other than Adorable Dog Grooming. Thank you Ladies! Eddie thanks you too! more

The REAL Facts - HIGH Quality! 11/3/2011

We started going to Adorable Dog over 5 years ago when we moved back to Colorado. At the time I had just one toy poodle who was a senior. As my baby, it was important to me that she be taken care of well and carefully. We had always had her groomed at least every 4 weeks, as owners of dogs with nonshed dogs should. They groomed SaPoo up until she passed away at 17 1/2 years old and she loved going there. When she passed, they gave me the most touching card and poem - they will forever be a part of my family for the loving care they gave her, even following her surgery for cancer.\r \r We now have two Standard Poodles, one turns 4 next month and the other will be 4 in June. They have groomed these babies since they came into our lives as tiny pups! One is 95 lbs and the other is 75 lbs, so grooming them is not a small or easy task. \r \r We took an extreme amount of care selecting our breeder, feed only the very best dog foods, and need our groomer to understand just how important these dogs are to us. Having high quality AKC dogs is a joy and caring for them is a huge responsibility. We are judged in the public regularly based upon the appearance of these beautiful dogs. \r \r Adorable dog also understands that my Standards are a part of our family and go the extra mile every 4 weeks when we see them! They even paint their nails to please my 6 year old daughter. She is DELIGHTED when she sees how ""fancy"" they look.\r \r Our dogs are also blood donors for the only Canine Blood Bank in the metro area; one of them has a rare type blood so it is highly important that extreme care be taken with my Standards. Our vets notice this quality grooming as well and have called me to get their number so they can take their own animals to Adorable Dog. \r \r Just one more note so you know just how amazing they are - we live in Golden and we drive all the way to Thornton every 4 weeks because of this quality and care they offer. My husband worked in the Tech Center so the round trip on grooming day was Golden to Thornton to Tech Center and a repeat of that for pick up. \r \r We could take short cuts and have them cut their hair less often but that wouldn't be good for the dog. We could save money by asking them to cut their hair shorter, but that makes the animal look bad. Dogs need to be groomed regularly just like us, every 4 weeks is ideal. For the fancier show cuts, every 2 weeks. \r \r My parents decided they would save money and time and go to a groomer very close to their house, their dog ended up not only with a horrible haircut but also with a disease. $5000 later they are back with Adorable Dog.\r \r We are committed to Adorable Dog and know they are devoted to us and our animals. We want our two babies to be with us for many years to come and having a groomer who understands how to properly care for a dog is another key to make that happen. more

dont take your dogs here. 8/29/2011

Dont go here!! i have two shi-tzu dogs that i have been taking to the adorable dog for years, my mom and sister also have two dogs each and were going there as well. however the last few times, both my dogs had been cut and wounded by the clippers. the last straw was when my dog charlie had a nasty cut under his chin that i was not told about, and i didnt find out about untill two days after his grooming. when i complained they said it was my fualt for asking for such a short cut. i love my dogs too much to put them though such bad treatment again. both my mother and sister said their dogs have been nicked before as well. our dogs are family and they deserve better! me and my family will not be going back. more

Not good for Bichons in my experience 6/7/2011

OK...this is the 4th grooming place I have taken my adorable Bichon Frise. It seems like all the groomers that I have tried (Remington Pets, Butterfly & Dogs, Mutt Puddles & Adorable Dog Grooming) don't know how to groom Bichons. I decided this place is the worst because it has nicked my dog 2 times now. The first time was right on the snout by the eye. This time the groomer did a very, very, close shave under the arm pit area on the right side. It has dried blood and is scabbing over. It was super pink when I noticed it after picking up my dog. It looked like the skin on a baby pig. After the first time, I decided to give them another chance. I had mentioned at the next grooming about the nick on the snout and that I wanted them to be more careful. The lady upfront said, ""so what do you want us to do?"".... I replied ""Just be more careful""...Maybe this last time was my fault because I forgot to tell them to be more careful...To me, a groomer shouldn't push all the way down the first place (new location) they take the shears to. I am very frustrated that I can't find a groomer that can cut a Bichon the right way. Remington nicked her twice too but not as bad, Butterfly and dog tied a Fourth of July bandana around her neck which discolored her neck. Plus, she looked like a poodle. Mutt and Puddles did the best cut, but the workers smoked which made my dog smell that way when I picked her up. The whole place wreaked of smoke. If I am paying $40-$50 dollars I feel I should be able to have a nick free dog and one that isn't groomed like a Poodle or Pekingese. I am back to the drawing board...Does anyone have a Bichon groomer that knows what they are doing? more

Always perfect grooming! 4/1/2010

I have been bringing my dog there for about 8 years now, and no matter who has been working, she has always been treated with care. She is old and difficult these days, but the girls working there always know how to work with her. I can't say enough good things about this business!!! One thing I would like to point out though to a review by Lumberjack67... I know the owner quite well and also knew the previous owner and I think you may be talking about a different grooming shop. At no point has there ever been a male working at Adorable Dog Grooming, groomer or otherwise and I don't think it is fair to trash a place without making sure you have your information correct first. Thanks!! Pros: Smiles, knowledge, great with all dogs more

Great Grooming Experience! 2/22/2010

Everyone treated me great and knew what they were talking about in the grooming business. My dog looked great and was very happy when we got home. He's a little skittish but the handled him like pros. I'm going back next month! Pros: Everyone was so sweet and proffessional! more

Incredible Service 2/22/2010

Great Groomers 11/17/2005

We have been taking our dogs to Adorable Dog Grooming since they first opened a few years ago, and have always had a great experience with them. They are always busy, but that is because they do a great job. I would recommend them to anyone who lives in the north metro area. more

Shaved Eyes 8/26/2004

I have taken my dog to Adorable Dog Grooming several times to be groomed. They've usually done an ok job, but the last time we had some issues. They shaved ALL the hair off around my dogs eyes for some reason. I didn't ask for this and this had never been done all the times before. My dog is black and like most dogs has very white skin. He looked like a FREAK!!!! We took him in to discuss this with the management. The manager on duty (male) looked at him and just shrugged his shoulders and walked away, without a care. Finally someone got the groomer that actually groomed him. She appologized and you could tell that she felt bad. She offered us a free bath on a later date for the dog. I have not tried to use this yet, but I'll let you know how it goes. Pros: Good Groomers, Priced Good, Good Parking Cons: , Might shave dogs eyes, Always booked more
