ACI Career College

I am attending ACI Career Colleg for the Pharmacy Tech program. I am learning from a great teacher. She is very enthusiastic and inspiring. Miss A can see when I am struggling with something and will find another way to explain it or go a little slower. There are things that we learn in our class that they don't teach in other schools. The other schools that I looked into were very narrow minded in their thinking with where this career choice can take you. \r \r I am so encouraged when former students come to visit. Not only does it say a lot that they would come back to visit the teacher, but we are able to feel good about our career choice and instruction when we find out that they are being hired at their extern sites. Some former students have gotten jobs in fields that other schools would never suggest, at a pay rate beyond expectations.\r \r I am excited about what life holds for me now...\r \r Hope to see you in class.\r Mist\r \r Pros: Location, Hours and Great atmosphere. I am a recent graduate from aci career colleges pharmacy program and will soon be starting externship at a great hospital. This school has allowed me to find what i wanted to do with my future and also allowed me to find my passion for my career. The time I spent in class over the months there I was able to learn more than I ever thought possible ,miss a taught the information in a way that didnt make it feel overwhelming or boring she made it fun to come to class everyday. Being there allowed me to grow as a person and grow as a professional. I started in the beginning with the intention that I just wanted to make la ot of money and wanted to get a good job. After being with miss amber and seeing her passion that she has for pharmacy and the love she has for her students, treating them as people rather than someone just filling the seat, it made me push myself to become better and allowed me to find my love for pharmacy. I could not be any happier in the choice i have made to attend aci career college, it not only helped me find passion for my career but also i found a group of life long friends in the process. Ive recently enrolled at ACI and I must say, I love it! I think all these people writing such horrible things must not know much about the school. My teacher is awesome, the administration has been very nice to me, and just about every student who has graduated from the pharm tech class thats wanted a job, has gotten one! I can guarantee that if you really want to go places, ACI will take you there. But you cant be lazy, and you should never really trust what a bunch of people on a chatline have to say--- GO CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF! I was checking out some vocational schools and this one was the WORST of it all!!!. When I got there, I thought it would be filled with medical staff students since the parking lot was full of cars. When i got in the building, it DID NOT look like a healthcare school like the others. The place were full of students that are going for beauty school. The place is weird looking compare to other schools that I've checked out. The classrooms were like something that was just made up to look like a classroom. The place looks very undone. The building itself did not look like a vocational school for healthcare. I felt very uneasy when they were showing me around the place. They only had 5-6 rooms. I didn't see a lot of healthcare students. I asked the staff if they were accreditated school. They kept saying that they are ""state approve"", which really didn't answer my question. So I'm assuming that they are not. So I decided to go home and go to a vocational school that is well known and is accreditated. This ACI school smells very FISHY to ME!!! I suggest for other to check other vocational schools and if you feel that the place is weird or fake looking, thats because it is!!! I am so glad I happened across this page. I was actually going to send my child to this school. I can't believe the ammount of bickering between students, administration and staff. What is going on here? This has got to be a joke. On a public forum people would act like this? Posts that say ""get out of my class"" and include administators of the school badmouthing students and previous staff? What kind of place would let this behavior occur? I am appauled that this is happening. Thankfully I saw this before I enrolled my son in the class, or even drove down to investigate the school. Rediculous. more

I think weather or not you like them or not,if you think they are not accredited then call Lab Field Services,they will not withold any information that you want. That way you can find out for yourselves and no one has to argue about it. Pros: no comment Cons: no comment more

Be very careful with this school. The admin will try to talk you into taking classes that they should not be offering. Specially HEALTHCARE!!! The school is NOT ACCREDITED to offer these classes. Specially Phlebotomy class. There are other vocational schools in Modesto area that are ACCREDITED to offer the class and then some. ACI courses are given separately - phlebotomy, clinical assistant, administration assistant, etc. when you can get all of it at other school into one. The owner decided that they can make more money out of the students if they have it all separately. Remember, they are licensed to open a business, but they do not obey the california rules and regulations when it comes to healthcare (that is why they are not accredited). The owner will try to tell you that they have been in this business for many years. But the truth is that they have no idea what healthcare really is. They own the other vocational school (ADRIANNE - beauty school) - what does that tells you??? All their supplies are for hair, not for healthcare. The school will shut down... hopefully soon. And the owner will pay a lot of money for all the students that will be suing them. Check out other schools in Modesto. ACI is NOT ACCREDITED and they should NOT BE offering any healthcare courses. Try to apply somewhere where you can speak with the students about the school. And if you feel secure and safe with that school, go for it. ACI will not have new students speak with anyone about the school because they do not want the students to leave and take their loan back. The instructors does not know what to teach, they have no guidelines for the instructors to have. So the instructors goes in the class ""cold turkey"". They end up learning as they teach the class as well. I would get out of that school ASAP!!! and seu the school for ""fraud"" so you can get your money and invest it some place that is legit!!! My sister just became a student for the phlebotomy class as of August 18...Day 2 and the instructor did not teach. The students basically read out of their books, while the instructor did not do any in class work. She just signed a $7000 loan with them too. Are they accredited? Is there a clause to get out of the loan and discontinued this program? \r \r I am a business owner myself and never heard of this school for medical certification courses....I am very much concerned my sister got played.\r \r Can anyone recommend an accredited school for phletobomy in Modesto? If you are intelligent enough, you would know by looking at this place, it is not a true vocational school for healthcare. First of all, school supplies are lacking for students to use. It is sad that this school is trying hard to make it when the owners and staff has no idea how to run a healthcare school. The owner may know how to run a business (beauty school), but not healthcare. The staff have no knowledge of what is healthcare. Former staff that has been let go are being threaten by the owners not to tell the truth about this horrible, wanna be school for healthcare. Accredidation means that the school had followed the RULES and REGULATIONS by the state and federal. Therefore, the school (if accreditated) will be granted financial help from both. This ACI school does not meet all the requirements that the state or federal has. That is the reason why they cannot open a phlebotomy class, nor they should open any type of healthcare. My suggestion to any students who wants to be in healthcare: Be aware on what you are signing (read everything). Do not sign if you have a FEELING of uneasiness in your stomach. ASK around before making a decision (check reviews online). The school will try to sweet talk you, and if its too good to be true, THEN IT IS!! You don't want to be stuck with thousands of dollars in debt after going to school and not having a job that you expect. The school has the right to open a business, but they have no right to con students with thousands of dollars so they can go on vacation every month or so. The school will not provide the students the right amount of knowledge about healthcare. How can they, if none of the staff knows anything about healthcare. A personal friend posted a comment on here, about me leaving the company, and it was thrown back at me. You have no idea what you are talking about!!!! I find it strange that there are all of these accusations regarding ACI not being accredited with the state when all one has to do is walk into the campus and see that they are. \r \r It's funny how the accusations have moved from petty complaints about one director to another. Seems to me that the ones that are complaining (and, again, it's very obvious by what you post as to who you are) are the very people that have not done as they are supposed to do... which is either what the curriculum calls for or what their employers call for. Yolanda Newell is the recruiter for the school, and the instructors are not carefully chosen !!! All the ones from the beginning of the year last year that were actually good were let go or fired, including mine!!! Ive been done for almost a year and still struggling to find a job.. So now im soo far in debt and have bad credit up the but and sallie mae the loan place they go through calls my phone off the hook to collect money! Not to mention they said after I finished that we were going to have a formal graduation with different classes in a big group and that never happened. One of the teachers I quote because she said this in front of me said ""we should just drink because were not allowed to smoke or do anything else"" she also encouraged her two pets to sneak her some beer in and put it in brown bags for her and let her know when they did so she can put it in her car. This teacher has a potty mouth not to mention. For the two brats that got to graduate even though they only went to class twice a week shame on you!! We all went everyday , took the tests put in effort to learn everything and they didn't care had no respect for our old teacher and still got to graduate. My friend finished the medical/dental assistant course and still has not found a job and she finished before me. Is there something we can do, like a law suit. I was told i was they were accredited also luckily I did get my license by some miracle...I want to gather a meeting or some kind of phone or email conference with all of those who were cheated and see what resolution we can get.
