NEVER USE ACE MOVERS- especially if you are a woman.\r
I am writing this review in hopes that I will save others from going through the nightmare that I endured with Ace Movers. First of all, I am a single woman and I called Jason with Ace Movers to help me move out of my apartment. He seemed incredibly friendly on the phone and I felt comfortable that he would do a good job- I was so wrong. \r
He told me that he would have men at my place at 10:00am on the morning I was to be out. 10am came and went and noone was there. I called him and he assured me men were on the way. Hour by hour I waited- no one came. Finally at 11:00pm (13 hours later) his men showed up. Jason was not there. Instead- it was 3 of the sketchiest men I have ever seen in my life. One was clearly high, and the other two were completely unprofessional. normally would have made them leave, but I needed to be out of my apartment by midnight that night and was stuck in a serious jam now.\r
They continuously made comments about my looks & why didnt I have a boyfriend (I lied and said that I did because I was scared) and then they wanted to know where he was, \r
They wanted to know how much all my stuff cost-- They asked for the amount I paid in rent-- etc.. etc.. The unprofessional comments continued til I was literally shaking thinking I was about to get attacked or everything stolen\r
These men COULDN'T EVEN PUT A BED FRAME TOGETHER. At that point I realized that Jason must have just hired people off the street (the men also told me it was their first day on the job, which was very odd). They drove an unmarked truck, wore no uniforms, and didn't know how to put a bed frame together. They looked liked they were straight off the street)\r
At the end, they asked me if they could sleep on my floor, I obviously said no. They demanded more money than was agreed on and I paid it in fear of them seriously stealing my stuff or coming back later in the night. I didn't sleep the entire night I was so scared.
