Acapulco Taqueria was basically a taco truck with some outdoor seats on the corner of West A Street and Royal Avenue in Hayward. I believe Acapulco has since added a "bricks and mortar" restaurant across the street.
My review is for the Acapulco taco truck that sits at the corner. First of all, if you haven't been to a taco truck you probably should. A lot of people have looked down on taco trucks as they continue to pop-up throughout the U.S. However, there are some people, myself included, who enjoy them.
Acapulco doesn't have a lot of offerings. They only have two types of burritos: regular and super. Both consist of shredded pork, beans, and rice. It is three bucks for a regular and $4.30 for the super.
I love to come here before an Oakland A's baseball game. I usually drive up, order some burritos, and then head to the park and eat my burritos in the bleachers. These burritos are well put together and are surprisingly neat. A lot of burritos are sloppy and messy. The neatness is what makes these burritos great to take to the ballpark or on picnics.
I'd recommend Acapulco if you are in the Hayward and want some good, cheap and quick Mexican food.
