TERRIBLE! When I left the store, I wanted to run over a few carts! We had been calling into Academy for WEEKS now wondering if they will ever get a certain grill into the store. After being told it would come Friday, and it not coming. And then being told it would come Monday and it not coming. And then being told it would come Wednesday, it finally arrived at the store. That was a nightmare to begin with. During those calls, my husband would get put on hold by some guy, wait for 10 minutes and the same guy would pick up and say "hello?" "yes, can you please tell me about that grill?" "oh yeah, one second..." on hold again..."hello?" Many of the calls went something like that.
Then it finally came and I went to checkout and I had an AMEX gift cheque for $100. I filled it out and after signing it and writing it out to Academy, the customer service cashier said "Oh, we can't take those." What do you mean?!?!?!? I already wrote it out to you guys!!!! Eventually I just had to pay for it with my debit card. And now have a $100 check written out to them that I can't use. If another vendor doesn't take my scribbled out check, I'm going back and demanding some recompense! Don't waste your time, unless you have to like we did for that stinkin' grill.
