really like the practice 3/7/2013

On December 26, 2012 I took my dog in for humanitary euthanasia and the experience was as positive as such an experience could be. The staff was kind to me and my dog. They went over exactly what was to be done numerous times. They did a thorough examination to determine I this would be in hisbes interest.\r \r I was allowed to be with my companion as he as administered the medication. I held his head on my lap and stroked his head during the process. It was very peaceful and I stayed quite some time after my dog's passing.\r \r The hospital provided me with a paw imprint as a memorial. Imagine my surprise when a month later I received a condolance card signed by the staff, an animal angel pin and a beautiful poem. It was touching.\r \r Prior to this experience, my experience with the staff was wonderful. Some might consider the services pricey but I found them to be inline with the going rates for Virginia Beach. \r \r Its a clean facility and my appointments always occured at the scheduled t more

Very greatful and happy! 6/16/2011

I love the doctors and staff. They are wonderful! I have been going there since my dog was a pup in 1997 and they have not disapointed us yet! The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make sure everyone is greeted as they come in and by name! It is amazing. I would not take my pets anywhere else! more

Have never had problems 11/8/2010

I have used this vet since moving here in 2009. Have not had any issues with their service. The front desk personnel are polite, prices typical for the area, and they participate in a veterinary medicine credit plan should you need it. Our australian shepherd had a growth that needed removal under anesthesia, had her teeth cleaned at the same time. They even called me after the procedure to let me know that Zoe was doing fine. I like the fact that they have doggie day care and boarding right there. When boarding, they don't charge extra for Zoe to have playtime with the other dogs like other places she has been boarded. more

They Made me Pay a New Patient Fee for my Dying Dog 4/22/2010

We had used this animal hospital in the past for our first dog when it was under the ownership of Dr. Bricker, a friend of the family, years ago.\r \r When I was home from law school, I brought the family dog in to get a second opinion about a blood test, which indicated he had kidney failure. They told me he was very sick and would probably die (less than 50% chance of living), which was already hard to cope with, but then they charged me a new patient vet fee (when it was obvious I would not be coming back) and a doctor visit fee to tell me this. (15 min. visit). Mind you, they just read the blood test from the other office and did absolutely nothing new.\r \r I realize this is a business, but I also overheard the vet behind closed doors telling his assistant that I was stupid for bringing my dog in. (At least close the door all the way).\r \r My dog was my best friend and like a child to me. I do not think that I should have been criticized for seeking a second opinion. Take your dog to more
