Aaron Brothers is in business with Michael's; you might find some of the same things, but they cater to entirely different demographics.
Aaron Brothers is for the artist, but it's also for the general public. They've got an abundant frame selection in a large assortment of colors and sizes right off the shelf. The choices for custom framing are virtually unlimited with the number of mat boards they have. However, you will pay the price; custom framing isn't cheap.
I can't tell you much about the art supplies I don't shop that side of the store, but they seem to have good starter kits. They have some, minimal, scrapbooking materials. Nice photo albums. What I enjoy most is that they carry unique items that you don't see at a typical department store.
There is lots of parking. And as for the friendliness of the staff: it depends on the day and the person.
