I have a friend who took her car to Aamco Bellevue about 6 weeks ago. They kept the car for 2 weeks! They have been rude, un-co-operative, and Still car is not fixed. They have been a total scam. Now her car shakes badly when put in park or at a stoplight! The wheel actually vibrates your hands. A technician told her the motor mounts they put in were too big, hence the shaking. They have moused her around so much and she finally got in touch with a district manager in Calif. he says he will help, but my confidence level is zero after the way they have treated her! Just look up the franchise based company on the Internet and you will see ALL the dishonest and horrible business practices they encourage! The BBB of Wash. State even has an alert on Aamco! They are not accredited with BBB. What a scam company! more

Polite...but not punctual or professional. This is the third time this shop has ""rebuilt"" my transmission in 5 years. I paid for the first two rebuilds and was assured that the third was ""covered"" under warranty. My confidence isn't very high, but feel I have few options unless I'm ready to spend another $2000 elsewhere.\r The latest repair was supposed to take 3-5 days. It took more than 2 weeks to get my chevy rolling again. Customer-be Prepared. more

New Owner = Great Service, fair price and ON TIME! 1/12/2012

Fantastic and ON TIME SERVICE! Roger is the NEW manager and what a great change it is! He returns phone calls promptly and gets the job done on time! I was so happy with the work they did that I had a friend take her car in just last week. They were able to test drive it, put it on the rack and diagnose it in just 30 minutes, while we waited. Unheard of! When the Charles, the mechanic, was finished, he actually pointed out the problem on the car and explained the problem in simple language. Contrary to what the Factoria Midas people had said, it didn't need a new $500 timing chain, it just needed new $30 spark plug wires and that my friend could probably just do it herself in 5 minutes. They charged her nothing but they sure did earn millions in good will and honesty! Honest, quick, fair and personable, what a welcome surprise!! I strongly recommend the new owner, management and mechanics at Bellevue Aamco!! (No I'm not related, didn't get paid for this, they simply earned it and deserve it!) more

Great Service 11/15/2011

I took my 2005 Ford Escape for some LONG overdue service. First I got an estimate from my dealer. Yikes!! Then I went to Aamco. The service manager, Keith was really nice, gave me great service, a great price, and really knows his football. I got twice as much work done here at a lower price than the dealer. The only suggestion I have for them: Get a TV in the lobby for Monday Night Football. more

Very Happy Customer 10/31/2011

I have been a very satisfied customer of this Bellevue Aamco store for years. I most recently met the new Customer Service Manager, Keith D. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful. The estimate and actual cost were right on target for the the engine and brake work I needed. Thank you. When I need more work done, I'll be back. more

The other day my car’s radiator fired up and I was just standing there dumbfounded. My car was fixed within a day and the repair charges were so very much affordable. \r \r I recommend calling AAMCO Plant City for brilliant customer care and efficient car repair services!\r more

Surprised by the Results 5/11/2011

My husband and I knew our car was having transmission problems, he told me about taking it to Aamco in Bellevue. I immediately said NO, we have a friend that had a very bad experience with them and plus looking at some of the bad reviews made me not want to take my car there at all. We got quotes from a couple shops, they all quoted outrageous prices except Aamco plus they gave us a 3 year warranty was the best deal we were going to find. I finally gave in he took the car on a Wednesday and they took a week to fix it, since then our car feel like new, they did a great job. Overall everything was perfect, my husband and I are very happy with their work and I definately recommend taking your car to this shop. more

JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.....MILITA71 2/11/2011

Just to set the record straight Ms. Lopez, YOU are the one who chose to purchase a USED JUNKYARD transmission. I tried to get you to let us REBUILD your transmission but you would not do that. You insisted that you wanted the cheapest route possible because your car is a 97 and is ""too old"". Yes, your used transmission did not work when we installed it. But how is that our fault? Used automatics are high risk and that's why we would rather not put them in. If a customer wants it, we will accomodate - reluctantly. You brought your car back a few days later because it wouldn't start. We checked it and told you your starter was going bad. How can you hold that against either? Customer feedback is very important too me and I do everything I can to help the customer out if there is an issue. more

BAD CUST. SERV AND REPAIRS RESULTS IN ADD. DAMAGE 2/5/2011

NIGHTMARE- Never tries to repair your transmission here. They changed the warranty that they offered me over the phone at the beggining from 1 year to 90 days then 6 months after 30 min that I got upset they offered me back the one year warranty. \r I paid $867after 2 weeks they returned my car in same conditions and they found a scratch in radiator, they didn’t fix it. It didn't go in reverse. Drove my car less than 4 hrs and broken again. He stated that it is a used transmission that they installed they didn’t have control on this and I had paid cheap. Why they offered me this service? Owner was rude when I asked for the refund of my money. It took another week to repair the car and starter did not work this time. They offered me to fix the starter and give me another price. My Car was in Aamco Shop during 3 weeks in total. I went there for transmission and resulted in additional damage radiator and now starter problems. More money for them.

Best place to take your car 10/30/2010

This is the BEST place to take your car! They change my oil in my car and never try to upsell me stuff I don't need and I can count on them to let me know if something is important. I don't need much more from a mechanic shop. Five well deserved stars! more

Average 10/21/2010

I'm editing my review, as the owner called us back.\r \r We took a car in to get a transmission service. We explained the car will be driven to CA and needs to be serviced. The car was driven out of town the next day where it broke down and there was no Aamco near us, so it was taken to a dealership. We learned our transmission fluid was overfilled by 6qtz and we had to pay a few hundred dollars out of our pocket to get it repaired. When we called Aamco about the problem, Aamco said they will have the manager call us back. We called back and we're given the same answer. We still hadn't heard anything a week and a half later until the manager finally called us back (and maybe a coincidence, but after we posted a review on here). He told us that he was on vacation and thats why no call was received. We understand mistakes are made, but we have a family mechanic who looks after our cars but was unable to get to it right away so we took it to Aamco thinking a transmission service would be ok. \r \r Again, mistakes are made but we are lucky that our car broke down and that it didn't catch on fire, 6 qtz overfill is HUGE. Our biggest concern, was that no one was put in charge while the manager was apparantly out of town. No one told us he was out of town and no one followed up to tell us it could be a week before he called us back. So, for that we rate Aamco 1 star. I am ONLY giving them 2 stars because he finally called us back.\r \r The owner DID call us back, he apologized and refunded the service and for that we give Aamco the extra star. He did read our review online, so wether he read it after the fact or before, reviews are important and we appreciate them resolving the issue so we updated our review.\r \r Aamco offered to look at our car again and we are still having issues with them saying they did not make the problem and the dealership we took the car to when it broke down failed at determinign the correct problem and they did not overfill our oil, etc... I will not recommend Aamco, everyone deserves a chance, but we took ours and although they attempted to resolve our problem, we will make sure to continue to take our car to our trusted family membe, We recommend you stay clear and find a business with more of a consistent rating. more

good service good people 7/12/2010

I have been doing business with this shop for the last 12 years and being a general contractor myself for the last 45 years of my life I know how to spot somebody that is not trustworthy or honest. As a general contractor, my judgement about people is how I have survived. With that said let me assure anyone that needs auto repair that this is the place to take your car. \r They have done 4 rebuilds for me and do all of my maintanence. I'm at a point with them that I don't even require estimates because I trust them and I drag my neighbors, employees and family. The only downside is they are really busy. I have watched them grow over the years so service can be slow and at times a little disorganized but they it done. When it comes to mechanics let me just tell you, a busy shop is a good sign. There usually is a reason a shop is busy and there definitely is a reason this shop is always busy. I can't hold that against them. Take it from an old timer that has seen it all. They are a rare find in this day and age we live in. Pros: Honest - they won't rip you Cons: a little slow at times more

Terrible Service 7/7/2010

We got horrible service, and almost ripped off for $2400! After ""diagnosing"" my car for 5 days they still had no idea what the problem was. They wanted to pull my transmission and do a full rebuild. I took it home and unplugged the battery and let it reset the computer and, to my grateful surprise, it fixed the problem. Nothing was wrong with my car, the computer was just messed up from a home repair on another part. When we called them to tell them that, the woman on the phone said they wouldn't have known to try that because they weren't mechanics! Unbelievable. I can not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone! more

Thank You to all of my customers 5/8/2010

I just wanted to take a second and say THANK YOU to all of my customers who have been coming to my shop for years and years. And, to anyone who has used my services. I would like you to continue coming back to our shop. Every customer matters. That's how I have built my business. These days, many companies forget that it is the customer who keeps them open. I don't and we don't at my store. Thank you for all of the trust in us and your patronage. I hope to continue serving the people of East King County and Seattle for the next 30 years God willing. From my family and I, THANK YOU. Pros: You will get your money's worth Cons: My answer would be biased. more

Honest, Trustworthy and True 5/27/2009

Two years ago, I had my Jeep's transmission rebuilt at AAMCO. From that day on, all my services and repairs have been handled by these guys alone. I did several repairs on my Jeep and my experience with AAMCO-Bellevue, throughout was pleasant. Even at times, when I lost my cool, these guys were patient in helping me understand the situation. The best thing I love about these guys is the honesty in their dealings. I tried a couple of mechanics around Bellevue and learnt that honest guys are expensive and guys who work for cheap are not true in their dealings. At AAMCO, I found a prefect blend of both without compromising their quality. The fact that these guys are in business for 30 years in itself speaks volumes about them. I recommend AAMCO to a lot of my friends and colleagues and have never received a complaint so far. Pros: Excellent service, honest and friendly Cons: Pretty busy shop so need to plan ahead - not exactly a con. more

Satisfied customer 5/25/2009

I don't know what some of these people have against this mechanic shop but I have bee coming here for 9 years and always leave happy with their work. I wont trust my 77 caprice to anyone else. I can vouch for their honesty and integrity. Before you judge these guys, you should go in and see what they are like. I drag my friends and family in this place. thats all I can say for what its worth. Pros: really straight up and do good work Cons: they could remodel the place more

good 5/15/2009

Bellevue Aamco is a repitable co. The builders there do a great job on fixing transmissions. Every one there is friendly. more

good mechanics 4/15/2009

These guys are honest. Really. And that is hard to find in mechanics. I have been coming here for 8 years and drag my friends and family to this shop because I know they won't be ripped off. The only complaint I have about this store is that they are not quick on service but that is a problem I am happy to deal with because of their honesty. They do good work and they won't rip you off. As far as I'm concerned there is no better shop than this one. Pros: honest Cons: slow more

Band of Thieves 3/23/2009

They are a bunch of crooks. Why would take your vehicle to a place that can't even pay their bills? These guys stiffed the place I work for almost $800 in parts they bought and think it's ok to not pay for them. If we could have them arrested we would. Best we can do is send them to collection, and we already have. more

Literally the BEST 11/5/2008

I'm a backyard mechanic. I love tinkering with cars. The only thing I don't mess with is automatic transmissions. I know how they work and all, I just don't have the tools to do the job right when something needs fixed. \r \r I recently had transmission trouble and heard that the Aamco in Bellevue is the best. After my experience, I have to agree. The repairs were top notch, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Best of all, they didn't try to screw me! \r \r I've had more car back several times for other little problems and every time I've been very pleased with the work. They do what they say they are going to do and only fix what needs to be fixed. more
