Fast & Friendly 4/19/2009

We needed 17 t-shirts each with an individual name and number on the back in less then one week, but timing was not a problem at all. Two of the shirts came back incorrectly at first and Harvey couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, picking them up and dropping them off in one day to make sure we had them in time. The shirts were a HUGE success, my family loved them and they made for some great pictures!! I'd definitely use them again no question. Pros: Fast & Friendly!! more

Screenprinting Heaven 3/27/2009

T Shirt Express has been the answer to my prayers. I have designed and had tees screen printed for over 8 years now, but was truly not satisfied with the quality of the work or the turn-around on my unique orders.\r \r Harvey Paulvin and his staff have been masterful at completing the task and doing so without sacrificing customer service or quality of work. They've been more than accomodating in fulfilling my requests and the end product always gets rave reviews from my customers.\r \r Even this morning, when I brought in a letterman jacket to have embroidered that I needed for today, Harvey and his team made it happen with no problem whatsover. That's what I call service.\r \r I salute T Shirt Express for the marvelous job they're doing and will continue to do. For all of your screenprinitng, embroidery, and balloon needs, there's no other place in the city that compares to the T Shirt Express experience.\r \r Sincerely, \r \r Ro \r Creative Director for The RDI Brigade\r A.K.A a very satisfied customer Pros: Great Customer Service, High Quality, Fast Turn Around more

I recommend you NOT go here 12/18/2008

Two T-shirts ... two disasters.\r I picked up two single-printing T-shirts, one screen-printed on a blue T-shirt that I had provided and the second heat-transfer-printed on one of their T-shirts. I had provided the designs as well.\r The first issue, which I noticed in the shop, was the placement of the design on the blue T-shirt. The design was simply one line of one-inch-high text, and they printed it literally just below the neck. The guy who seems to run the place (Harvey) told me that the placement was fine and that anyone who worked there would say the same thing. Needless to say, *every* person to whom I have shown it since then and asked for comments has said ""The text should be about 2 inches lower"" without me even mentioning it.\r I might have given Harvey the benefit of bad taste on the first T-shirt if it hadn't been for the second T-shirt. The design was printed on the shirt as one big patch, and you can see the backing through the cotton. More disturbingly -- and unfortunately I only noticed this when I was back at home -- they had changed a piece of the design I had provided! They literally printed a different font in one place. Considering I had given them a PDF (ie. it's not a matter of font incompatibility such as might be the case with an Adobe Illustrator file), they must have made a mistake during printing and then tried to correct it. Horrible and unprofessional.\r At the shop, Harvey expressed that he was sorry I wasn't satisfied and that if I had wanted a particular placement, I should have been more clear. How deceptive, considering that he knew what they had done with the other T-shirt.\r My recommendation:\r 1. Do not go here.\r 2. If you don't believe me in full, at least do the following: pay only a portion of the total amount in cash when you drop off the order (they ask for either partial payment or credit card) and leave yourself lots of time to repeat the job elsewhere should you not be satisfied when you pick up your T-shirt(s).\r Pros: 2-3-day service, but you might not get what you ordered Cons: Poor quality, terrible service more

Global Kids Thanks You 3/25/2008

On Behalf of the Global Kids staff, board of directors and youth, I would like to thank you for helping to make the Global Kids Annual Benefit, held on November 16th, a tremendous success by donating the customized balloons for the event. They looked great. \r \r The Annual Benefit was an important and memorable event for Global Kids and its supporters. Youth in Global Kids programs gave a lively performance, and the evenings honorees spoke eloquently about the role that Global Kids plays in creating a diverse, engaged, and informed citizenry. We were able to raise over $200,000, and because of donations like yours, all of this money will directly support the work of Global Kids. \r \r All of us at Global Kids thank you for your contribution to our organization's celebration, and, moreover, for sharing our commitment to the development and education of young people. The balloons were great! Just the right touch, Thank you so much.\r \r more

Extra Mile means Extra Smiles 3/25/2008

I recently ordered some t-shirts for opening night of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. With there fast turnaround time and there expert advice, the finished product was beautiful. The shirts were everything I expected and then some. On top of the great service they went the extra mile by leaving them for me at a neighborhood establishment. That really made the difference in me delivering for our opening night. I'd recommend this company to any one looking for custom shirts. more

First Timers Beware 12/4/2007

I usually don't write reviews unless it is an extreme circumstance. To be fair I tried this place off of a recommendation. Going into the process I knew a decent amount about the silk screening process. I needed a mid-size job (about 100 shirts) done in a week. The owner told me the job would take 5 days and quoted me a price that I felt was high, but didn?t mind because time was more important. Needless to say the job took over 3 weeks. 16 of the shirts were printed with the wrong color. The quality of the finished product was terrible and the shirts shrank tremendously. I lost customers, accounts, and money because of this order. The owner had a problem getting in the sizes and colors I ordered, after he represented the job was ready to go. He then started telling me what sizes he was going to print instead of what I ordered, which I quickly let him know was not fine and demanded a partial refund. He agreed to refund me the money for the shirts he was unable to print (of course) but would not make right on the duds he already sold me, unless I wanted to take more time and bring them back to his inconvenient location which involved me getting the product back from my buyers which I had already sold them to with a discount because of the quality. He compared his store to Macy?s and accused my partner of trying to strong arm him after we tried several times to help get the order right and were extremely patient. There are too many printers in the city to have to deal with this kind of service. Do yourself a favor read the other reviews here as they are similar and stay away from this place. more

Not Recommended 8/8/2007

Pros: Harvey was flexible and gave me a good deal\r Cons: He changed the terms of the deal ONE day before the pick up date by saying he didn't have enough shirts of the brand I had specified. He substituted a brand I know to be of a lower quality, yet he refused to make a price adjustment. He did suggest I could cancel the order, but he also knew that my event was coming up so I couldn't go to another place, and was stuck with the mismatched shirts.\r Bottom line: Don't go here. more

overpriced and rude 2/1/2007

AAA T-Shirt Express is overpriced and rude. If you want large or small orders I would suggest going downtown or to Brooklyn where you'll find the print shops are much cheaper and friendlier. \r more
