I was told I was buying last year's model, a "clearance item" for a great deal. Well, it arrived with a yellow tag saying this SECONDHAND MATTRESS had been sanitized! The mattress is not nearly as comfortable as the store model, has strings hanging around the seams, and it smells like chemicals. Joey, store manager at Belt Line in Addison, told me it was last year's model, and a clearance item, and there would be no warranty, which would get me such a great price. Not ONCE did he say it was USED, or I wouldn't have purchased it. He went on about how it was Labor Day weekend and his boss told him not to call him, just to do whatever it took to make deals, and that I was getting a steal of a deal. LIAR. I could've bought a used mattress online or from the Dallas morning news for about $200, IF I had been shopping for a USED one. I don't care if it was "tried out" for 1 night, or slept on for 100 nights, I had the right to know it was secondhand before deciding to purchase.
