I dropped off a weedeater that RAN for an estimate to fix a leaking fuel line...paying a $37.34 estimate fee that would be applied to the invoice if I chose to fix it. Kind of steep but I could deal with that since I don’t expect them to work for free in case I don’t have them fix it. They called a few days later stating it was the carborator that needed to be replaced and said it would cost $127.13. I questioned the carborator being the issue when I wanted them to give me an estimate on fixing a fuel line. After a few min’s of being no help, I just told him I would come pick it up and thought I would only be out the estimate fee. When they handed me the weedeater today, it had a bag of parts attached to it. Stunned, I asked if there was a mistake since I now have a weedeater with a bag of parts that I don't know where they came from or how to put them back together. The short stumpy man and older lady got defensive with me and started arguing with me telling me that I only paid for an estimate and that if I wanted the parts put back on they would charge me another $37.34. I explained that it would have been professional and courteous to have explained at the time I dropped it off they that their estimate only covers tearing down your equipment to look at it and putting it in a bag for you to figure out to put it back together. The older lady then proceeds to tell me they just can’t write down all the details with a “crayon”. Then stumpy asked in a sarcastic tone if I wanted him to draw me a picture of how to put it back together. I could go on and on about the details of my ridiculous experience today but I won’t because it still gets my blood boiling. I would just advise if you are looking for small engine repair, find another place to go…unless you want to pay $37.34 for a bag of parts
