A nanny came for a trial, after a brief interview, in which Cecilia Kiser said they did not do trials as any reputable agency would recommend, even, for their nannies. This is unbelievable as there has to be at least a few day trial to see if the nanny is the right fit, and if she/he feels good on the job, or if the family feels she is a good fit. Cecilia did not like it, but the nanny came for a few days, and she was not a good fit for any of us. She did not know the most basic responsibilities of being a Nanny/House Manager for my children, yet I was told by the nanny, and Cecilia, that she had so much experience. She did not do much as I was there the whole time and did almost everything. I tried to do my own background check on her driver's license and social security number, yet there was no one to be found by that name and the information. I even called an attorney to use an extensive search, and they said either the driver's license was wrong, or social security number, yet the nanny gave me copies of these documents. \r \r The nanny who came needed to be completely trained, as she even told me that she wanted to talk to my previous nanny, for me to give her instructions on how to interact with the children, and Cecilia Kiser would not perform a full background check, and expected me to hire this nanny without it! No family, who is going to completely entrust this nanny with their children, would not have a full background check. Cecila also sent a ""profile"" of the nanny, which consisted of about 4 sentences. I asked her if she could send more information, and she said this is the profile they send. Cecilia, the owner, sent me a ""criminal check,"" yet there was nothing on the paper that showed where it came from, and simply that she had ""no criminal history."" Cecilia refused to send me a full background check, which is a part of hiring a nanny through a reputable agency. Cecilia then told the nanny that she could not come back or continue her trial, and the texts were harassing to her as I saw them, because the ""Ms. ___ and her husband were demanding a background check, and would not pay her for the ""contract."" There was never a contract, as Cecilia sent me some elementary aged version of a contract, the first day of the trial of the nanny, which I paid $20 an hour. The nanny could not stop crying, and because of this, and her not being able to control her emotions in front of my children, could clearly not work for me or be around my children. No more trial needed. Many emails from Cecilia to me saying one thing, then another, such as I would have to pay for the background check in which she submitted (which I said I would do, in addition to her $600), and then a day later said that she would not do the background check. Just what was going on??\r \r This is my first horrible experience with a nanny agency, and actually shocked at how Cecilia conducted her business, just WHO the nanny was she sent, and how she spoke so disrespectfully to me when all I was requesting was a background check. \r \r Any kind of parent who knows what is is like to work with a respectable agency would never use A Nanny's Touch..unless like me, they called to find out information and were lied to about almost everything. Maybe hire a housekeeper though her as she would only perform a criminal background check. Yet the process, her work ethics, lack of honesty, disrespect to me, the client, and wavering on what is said, and then saying something completely different, should make this business not able to operate. I feel for the parents who just send her money, as she wanted me to do, without a trial, background check, or verification of the nannies references...except that she called them. Nothing written on what was said, or who she talked to. \r \r \r \r more

Worst nanny agency ever!! These people made my life a living hell!! They require payment and make you sign a contract before you ever get to try the person you are hiring. If you don t like the nanny after you try her they will send you only one replacement. If that one doesn t work out, they want you to pay another ridiculously high fee to try any more nannies!! The women they sent me were unethical, lazy and had severe lack of judgement! One of them let my 4 year old autistic child run out of the house and if it wasn t for my neighbor outside, he would be long gone by now!! Stay as far away from these people as possible!!!! more
