Good Food, Good Service 9/8/2007

In response to the previous reviews. Not to be harsh, but Yes it is pricey. But anywhere worth eating in Vegas is. I was there for a week and for 2 of us be didn't have a single dinner under $200. It's Vegas: Things are more expensive and they mark things up 2, 3, 5x what they do in the average city. But the food at AJ's was one of my favorite meals (second to my meal at Spago earlier in the week!) The lobster bisque was great and my filet mignon was actually cooked correctly! The gratin potatoes were great too! My advice is; If you are worried about the price of things, you need to ask. It's not their obligation. Our service was great at AJ's and I recommend it! Pros: Food, Atomosphere Cons: None I saw more

Avoid at all costs..... 9/4/2007

We ate at this establishment after being turned away from Nobu (also within the Hard Rock) because a male member of our party had sandals on. We found it quite interesting that there were many, many young adults walking through the casino/dining areas wearing bikinis and the males were shirtless..... more

Very Average 9/17/2006

Was very surprised at how small this restaurant is. We had a 9pm reservation but weren't seated until 9:30. We were all quite annoyed esp. since the tables took at least 15min to get cleaned from when the last table left them. This isn't how to run a business. If you have people waiting for the table (w/a reservation) you should try to speed up the process. Food was good - not exceptional or too interesting. Prices were good. I wished it wasn't a la carte but I know a lot of steakhouses do this. I think there are better places in Vegas to spend you money for a great meal. Cons: slow service more

AJ's is not what it used to be! 2/9/2006

Aj's was once a great fun steakhouse ! It had a kick backed comfortable atmosphere without the fuss. A lot has changed. The food is still good, but the vibe is different. It almost seems like a corporate run robotic restaurant now, starting with the ""Glorified Hostess""/Maitre'D the door. AJ's has lots it's swagger, pizzaz and personality, if it wasn't broken, why change things. more

Very disappointed 12/29/2005

After reading all the reviews for this place..must say, I was shocked upon my arrival to find an almost deserted tiny restaurant. The scene is dated and the menu limited. It is small, with no view of anything going on outside - and nothing going on inside! Pros: service good, good food Cons: atmosphere, limited menu more

Another great choice at the Hard Rock 11/21/2005

I love the club feel. It's tucked away where you have to actually know where. Fine by me. Love the piano bar. Great cocktails, solid steak and cool cubby, private dining room scene. more

Jean, Marcus...what else do you need? 5/27/2004

From the moment you enter AJ's, you know you're in for a treat. Retro, ""groovy"" atmosphere, the BEST espresso martini in town thanks to Marcus and Jean, who reminds you what really classy service is all about! If you're still going to restaurant chains - for heavens sake STOP! Take that short drive to the Hard Rock and remember what is means to be appreciated! Pros: easy parking access, atmosphere, service is excellent more

There are no windows to look out into the hotel and casino from AJ's. The clubby restaurant is a classic eatery with only a tufted leather door to mark its existence. Still, the...
