I like most people, had many bills and I was just barely keeping my head above water. I ran into some unexpected financial problems and from there everything started going downhill fast. For the first time I was in a position to where I couldn't pay for all my bills, I struggled with the idea of filing for bankruptcy, but after falling further behind the decision became easier. When I made the decision to file for bankruptcy I looked up some different bankruptcy lawyers and I chose to go to "A Fresh Start." After choosing "A Fresh Start" I met with Dorothy, and she asked me some questions and then gave her analysis and told me that I was a good candidate for bankruptcy. The overall process was somewhat stressful to me, but in the end I made it through with Dorothy's assistance. Dorothy was always straight forward and honest with me and I appreciated her help. more

I have been in a 6/13/2014

"I have been in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy with Dorothy since December, 2009. She has answered all my questions, given me info about my case on a regular basis & sent me regular reminders to make sure I didn't forget to do something. Today, I received my Discharge paperwork from Dorothy with information about how to rebuild and repair my credit. I cannot say that going through a Chapter 13 has been a pleasure, but I got rid of a 2nd mortgage amounting to $180,000 and over $120,000 in other debts in exchange for payments of $300/month for three years. Believe me when I say that Chapter 13 was well worth the aggravation." more

A Fresh Start 4/28/2014

I was nervious 4/16/2014

I was nervious to file for bankruptcy and had no idea what to expect. When I told them I was still being charged by a creditor they took action and got me a settlement! 100% I will be back for any legal needs in the future. more
