Great Phillys 6/4/2006

When you're in the mood for a Philly cheese steak (or chicken!) sandwich, this is a great place to come. The service is quick, the cheese melted just right and the bread is warm but not soggy. I probably should have skipped the fries with cheese whiz on top which made me feel a little queezy (as cheese whiz will do...) but overall a good sized sandwich and great location when you get that philly cheese sandwich craving. more

The Best Cheese Steak Place Outside Philly 1/12/2006

If you feel like taking a bit of a trip, Philly is still the best place to get a cheese steak. However, 99 Miles to Philly isn't what you'll have to travel to get a comparable one if you live in NYC; instead you can simply check out this fantastic restaurant in the East Village. From cheese whiz and American to provolone, all the choice cheeses are here. An assortment of toppings from onions to sweet or hot peppers can add some zest to your sandwich while a side of their crisp waffle fries simply seals the deal. so, if you're craving a cheese steak and can't make it all the way to Philly, stop in 99 Miles to Philly. Your taste buds will thank you later. more
